Poll: nameless soldiers/NPCs

If the nameless ones actually had brains maybe I would care more about them.

The marines in Halo must have exchanged their brains for bullets because they can't do anything right. Several times I've seen a warthog full of Marines plunge off of a cliff.

How can I save them from their own stupidity?

i usually put them out of my misery, seeing as the combined IQ of your "squad" is usually the same as the number of members.

I try to protect them as best as I can, but sometimes dumb AI kills them anyway.
I always feel bad, seeing the nameless guys die en masse in both games and movies with only the stupid hero left standing.

they're a good distraction... sometimes! hate games where the npc's might as well not be there. gets annoyng when you have several comrades and the entire enemy still focuses solely on you!

I often enjoy trying to keep my stupid, unarmored, cross-eyed allies alive in games like Halo 3. Play on Legendary for added challenge.
