On tuesday, I will be heading up to Gamestop to buy Halo CEA. However I find myself in ownership of more cash than usual and have enough to buy another game. I am torn between two choices, Skryim and Space Marine. On one hand I am a fan of Fallout 3 and New Vegas and from what I heard the central mechanics are similar, but on the other hand I downloaded the demo for Space Marine and enjoyed it imesnly. So what do you think? Also kindly refrain from being to Zealous about it, if you put something like "OMG you iz such I moron, get Skyrim, 40k is for nerdzzzzzzz" then I will more likely than not edge away to avoid being associated with fanboys and this time next week I will be chopping up orks with a chainsword. Also I would prefer the opinion on those who have both, but if you have either your view is appreciated.

i will say space marine is amazing especially if you like 40k (the ork voices are amazing) but i would say for now get skyrim, but because space marine is fairly short wait till it is cheaper to buy it and you will get much more gameplay out of skyrim

first :D

They are both awesome. But skyrim will have MUCH more bang for your buck. ^_^

Well i have no idea about Space Marine, but ive played Skyrim for 30 hours according to steam, and ive only been to 2 cities, and only done the first 2 story quests... so I'd wager skyrim is better value for money.

People hated 40k for stupid reasons. I think it was a good game, but i agree it could be bigger and had better story.

But in the end if with my love for 40k i had to pick i would go with skyrim, considering the weak sales of 40k will give it a lower price, so you could get the game later with a price drop.

So for now definitly Skyrim!! Bigger, more story, and epic creature fighting!!

Depends on how much time you want to get out of the game. Space Marine is fun, with a little bit of challenge in the later levels (mostly because the game decided "challenge" equals hordes and hordes of enemies that swarm you near endlessly) but it's very short and you could finish it in the course of 24 hours (and I don't really know how the multi-player is, though as per usual with multi-player third-person action games I've heard that it's both awesome and terrible from different people). Skyrim is a massive (and I mean massive) open-world RPG that will last you for well over a full week of play-time if you're looking to do just about everything you can. The main story is, from what I've heard, very short if you decide to tunnel-vision the main quests, but there's so much to do on the side and so much exploration to be had.

Well, it looks like Skyrim is winning so far. I'll keep checking the poll until around 2:00 PM Eastern Centeral tommorow and then go for it. I think my mind is made up but I just want to make sure.

I've played Skyrim for 37 hours now, I am guessing I am about 60% done with the main questline, I've explored roughly 30% or the world and I still have tons of leveling to do, seeing as how I am only at level 23. So Skyrim will most likely be more bang for the buck.
