As a Guy who can say hes owned all three "Next Gen" systems (+ DS and PSP),
I can confidently say that mainstream gaming is turning into a big pile of smelly, medicore slop. (No Offense to fanatics) I need something new to do, something interesting. Theyd be heaps to do at University but Im still only half way through my last school year.

PS, I live in the Country.

Im Bored plain and simple.
And dont say Play games Dhurr... like some other forums.
Im bored BECAUSE I played games.
I agree with Yahtzee an A LOT of things, to put it simply.

if you're bored with "next gen" games, go play some lassic games for some old systems,

super nintendo, sega genesis, basically anything you can think of.

if you have a computer you can find an emulator and play the game just as it was on the consoles

if you want any suggestions, just send me a message and i'll get back to you when i can

Umm...read a book, watch a movie, watch a movie based on a book while reading said thing.

You could also go out to make friends...or enemies.

Outside of gaming, there is a WORLD OF OPPORTUNITY!

I did that for awhile. Played things like EarthBound.
The last time I had a bag o fun games would be Spyro/Crash Bandicoot on PSX and SSBM on GameCube.
A lot of games seem like a chore to finish. Even some casual ones.

EPIC,

Must quote somewhere >.<

Its a bit hard going out and getting friends when where you live is Old Farmers land and you have no car.

well, have you ever tried playing games that you wouldn't normally play?

a little variety in the types of games you play can make all the difference.

for instance, i used to play nothing but fps games and i got really bored as a result, but i bought mgs3 one day and i just couldn't put the thing down!!!

Yep, Well University (Specifics) and Ill be living on Campus.
You and me both.

And yeah I think Frybird is vastly overestimating the amount of potential opportunities for entertainment in the country.

I don't know what sorts of stuff you're into besides gaming, nor much of the region where you live. Being in the country, though, the outdoors should be a great asset. You can go hiking, paintball/airsoft, start a garden. Hell, build a potato launcher, set off a few dry ice bombs... the possibilities are endless.

If your looking for something to do I would suggest Warhammer. Warhammer differs from normal gaming as you have to put together the models your self and paint them, which can be quite fun. So give it a shot as long as you have money to spare as Warhammer is an expensive hobby.

Might want to fix your poll, but other than that go outside, build a house for a lady friend, invite said lady friend to live in your house and presto you got your own family. At least that's how it was explained to me

Thats the Thing.

Gaming WAS my hobby.
Now the bar is being dragged down by wads of cash and no talent designers.
