Looks like a new Vidoc went up early today.


In the video Bungie gives more details on the new gametypes, gives some details on a few new weapons, better social settings so you can further choose who you want to play with, and an epic beard is show again.

It also looks like there are "divisions" in the multiplayer mode now. Gold, Silver, Steel, and Onyx. And as you go up in rank and skill, you get put into the appropriate division so you can find people around your skill. This also sounds a lot like Startcraft 2's matchmaking.

And as the video states, its a beta, so things can easily change drastically from now to release. So be wary.

So, discussion: What are your thoughts on it so far? What looked cool/looked lame as hell?

I know the limited edition case for Halo 3 cracked my disk and a few of my friends ones too, I hope they sort out that problem. Getting the disk out of the case easily and not having to try and wrench it out is literally step one of game enjoyment

Yeah, that was a pain in the ass. Granted they did offer free replacements, but still. Its stupid it even happened in the first place.

Can't wait to play as an Elite in multiplayer once again, plus the other additions are pretty sweet too.

As for the one I pick, probably going to go with the regular one. I mean I would LOVE to have the Legendary edition but I think that might be a little bit out of my price range.

I'll get either normal or limited, depending on how much i enjoy the beta.
Legendary is just ridiculous, £55 for some models, a box, a book and an in game helmet...
It says a lot that nearly everyone on the bungie.net halo reach forum is saying they'll get it...

I really wanted it for 3, but by the time I got a net account set up, they'd sold out.

I never went for the kind cheap bonuses like an extra art pack for an extra $20.
however, if the elite armor is cool enough i might get it for the case and the armor.
but I'm sure the dr. halsey's journal will be scaned and on the internet by 3 am launch day.


wouldnt it be funny if the spartan armor that came with the $150 version was emilee's skull EVA helm? or maybe a recon helm? and by funny i mean horrible because they would be all up on their holier than thou pedestal
