What sting did they pulled to get Bayonetta? (Yes I know that sequel is an exclusive to thr Wii U.)

Also what does Corrin Kirby look like cos his/ her hair is similar to Robin?

Also man I should get back into Smash. I wonder if they will release character packs instead of buying one of them at a time?
Its a WiiU exclusive because Nintendo actually bought the rights to the series. So they never actually had to do anything to use her since they already owned the rights. I suspect that is one of the reasons she was included all the appeal of a third party character with none of the legal hurtles :p.

OT: I was surprisingly not really wanting to play either bayonetta or cloud but after watching the way they move and their move sets I suspect I might surprisingly like them because they seem to suit my play style.

I honestly am very surprised Bayonetta was approved for Smash by the Big N. Even though she was highly requested and is a Nintendo IP, I was almost certain that the executive decision makers would err on the side of prudishness and never allow such a lewd, seductive, gun-wielding character from a violent, mature universe into family-friendly Smash.

Then again, we had neck-snapping Solid Snake in the last entry, so... cool.

Sometimes, Nintendo really does have balls.

I'm overall okay with the results, though it bothers me that only the top pick in the Smash Ballot made it in. (Though I am glad to see Bayonetta finally get into Smash...) As for the other two?

Corrin - While I think there are too many Fire Emblem characters, I have to admit the character looks interesting, especially the dragon morphing and chainsaw sword. Sooo maybe I'll give him/her a chance.

Cloud - Yet another swordsman, though one who's been around for quite a while. And personally, I like to think his inclusion is Nintendo giving an olive branch towards Square-Enix after their (okay, Square's) falling out years ago. Either way, at least it makes the fans happy.

Again, wish more characters got in, but hey, it's not my game...

I'm not terribly surprised by the results. I wish they hadn't tried to tie in a game that isn't even out yet (Corrin - from FE-Fates) and instead included another classic fighter (Simon Belmont??) or freaking Shovel Knight.
It isn't like this is unprecedented. Roy in Melee was an advertisement for Fuuin no Tsurugi, which at the time wasn't out yet.

OT: Yes, all of this, in my face, blblblblblblblblblbl. All the DLC characters so far have been incredibly fun to play as, and while Corrin's a total unknown, I feel like giving them the benefit of the doubt. As for Bayonetta, I'm impressed at how much Nintendo is supporting it, so the fact that they didn't veto her victory in the poll just because she might have pushed up the age rating is a really good thing.
