Escapist goes Nomnomnom. No poll for you
So I just saw a trailer for the new movie called Snow White and the Huntsman which I present to you here.
For those of you not wanting to watch the above video I copy and pasted the synopsis from the video description.
Why am I torn? Well, I am fine with an adaptation. I am fine with the scenes of Snow White clad in armor fighting in a grand battle. I am even fine with the casting of Kristen Stewart as Snow White. Hell, before the "fairest of them all line" I was looking forward to seeing the rest. Yet something about this trailer causes me to release a rage that easily surpasses any other movie related.
Most likely its the fact that one of my favorite stories from my childhood is being adapted into what appears to be a Twilight style cash in, though that may be just because Kristen Stewart is attached to the project but it is worth noting that so is Chris Hemsworth (AKA: Thor). I actually like most of the names that are attached to the project and am indifferent about the other names. Hence my confusion.
So what do you think about this? Cash in, good or bad, thoughts you post them!
EDIT: Looked up the Wikipedia and IMDb page for the movie out of curiosity. Yes there will be 7 dwarves, all named after Roman emperors, The actors all look pretty good. One of them is Toby Jones who played the dream lord from Dr. Who and also voiced Dobby in harry potter.
Oh yea, its also there is word that it is planned to be part of a Trilogy.

Snow White was probably one of the major disney movies of my early childhood. Later on in my life it became one of my top Brothers Grimm tales. But yet I am torn between waiting for more information and just screaming "What the [Pages of Explicitives] is this?!?!?!"In the epic action-adventure Snow White and the Huntsman, Kristen Stewart (Twilight) plays the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen (Oscar(r) winner Charlize Theron) out to destroy her. But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth, Thor) dispatched to kill her. Sam Claflin (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) joins the cast as the prince long enchanted by Snow White's beauty and power. The breathtaking new vision of the legendary tale is from Joe Roth, the producer of Alice in Wonderland, producer Sam Mercer (The Sixth Sense) and acclaimed commercial director and state-of-the-art visualist Rupert Sanders.
