Poll: New Super Mario Bros. Wii V.S. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

if you were watching Game Trailers on there recent Nintendo episode you should have seen the Nintendo president Reggie Fils-Aime make a bet saying that in the holiday season (through January)New Super Mario Bros. will sell more copies than Modern Warfare 2 (but only on the Xbox not both platforms to be fair) so people what are your opinions who do you think will sell more?

Now you see, if that was the PC version of MW2, I'd have said Mario Bros. But seeing as you said 360, I'd pick MW2, even if they have removed party chat.

As a side note, no Vs. threads. They are frowned upon here.

In Q4? MW2. Overall, probably NSMBW. It'll be a slower burner, there's less hype surrounding it, but I think the sales will be constant.

I said yes but i am not completely sure. If you had said MW2 in general rather than just XBox. If that was the case it would definitely be MW2 w/o a doubt.

I found the Call of Duty games to always be decent, and never great.
Where I found the New Super Mario Bros. for DS to be fantastic.

I just watched that segment on GT. But I agree with what everyone here has already said, MW2 will sell loads out of the gate, I'm sure that NSMBW will sell well too, but probably won't match the figures MW2 pump out.

It's a toss up in my eyes. The Wii has a greater number of consoles out there, and thus a greater base to sell the game to: on the other hand, MW2 is one of the biggest things since sliced bread.

Wii games tend to be a slow-burn. Both games will sell tremendously. But while MW2 will take Q4, NSMB:Wii will overtake it by the end of next year.

Haha yeah you got a point, I don't know much about what will be in Modern Warfare 2 but it sounds like there won't be a lot of new weapons etc. Though I'm not an expert in that so don't quote me on it
