Poll: New to the Escapist/ Floaters like me.

I've been a member of the site for two years now, but I had only been watching Zero Punctuation the entire time. It was up until a few days ago that I actually started exploring the site. I was never really one for forums but The Escapist is full of nerds, geeks and gamers like me so I am really enjoying myself here.

We call them "Lurkers", not "Floaters". Floater brings up imagery of poo.

Technically, I've been lurking ever since this site was made. I was only visiting it for Yahtzee at the time, though.

At around 2010, I started gaining interest in the forums but never really made an account until 2011.

I've been happily going through these forums ever since. I've even started my own user-group, which has almost grown to 70 members.

Well I've been around for 568 days and have made 1676 posts, which makes about 2.95 posts daily.

I guess I'm fairly old, probably not all that recognized haha

I lurked for a fairly short period but was pulled out of lurking by some R&P thread that pissed me off a little (R&P gives you cancer, don't go there!)

So this is my first one ever being a member of the escapist for a long time now just wondering how many new people are new on here (those that have been members for under a year).

Oh.... oh god! I'm OLD! Why didn't anyone tell me?!?!?!?

I'm a new guy, as the join date proudly proclaims. I'm frankly surprised that I hadn't joined the forums till June when I had; I originally lurked around the time of Zeel causing trouble.

OH MY GOD I LOVED THAT GUY. Thanks for reminding me of that little bag of trolliscious joy. Frankly, I'm just surprised he managed to last as long as he did.

As you can see by my post count I'm not very active but I do tend to read a good number of topics.

Would likely be more active but I went on a three year hiatus after signing up (no internet) and have just started hanging around here again.

I've always enjoyed the term 'Lurker'. It puts the image in my head that there's tigers prowling around a village, just waiting for the right time to pounce in and eat someone.

Came for an RP, stayed for said RP, and so much more. I was really surprised by all the content I could sink my teeth into; seeing as I hadn't heard of this place till I visited a page on TvTropes.

I'm glad I did though. I've made a number of friends since coming here; and it's been the bee's knees!

I'm probably considered "old" by now seeing as I joined a couple of years ago. I lurked for about 3 years before joining up though.. and the only reason I actually did join up was because I needed something new to help me procrastinate while I was studying for exams.
