Morning news on the tv talks about it often, but then again, we're Europe, so we're inclined to behave as meddling jerks.

Only time I ever hear anything about Australia is when they cancel a game because of its subject material. They really make it seem like Australia is very anti-game. Is the cencorship that big of an issue to you natives?
No, it's just our government. Which is a stupid government btw
I love hearing people from other countries call their governments stupid. I don't feel so alone.
Most governments are

Not when I'm outside, no.
Australia is too peaceful. You aren't on a brink of war like the rest of us..so no, our news tends to be much more colorful than yours.

Look on the bright side--no news is good news. You should be happy no one has to hear about your country (mainly because nothing truly that bad ever happens there).
Lately though, we've had the worst luck with natural disasters.
Edit: I don't like what I just said..
Anyway, yeah..natural disaster is a real pain down there. Oh well..move in with the Kiwis?
I imagine being on the brink of war is pretty awful too. Difference is we can't blame anyone.

Unfortunatly I doubt the Kiwis would take us...

We just have some very conservative people in the positions that also happen to control classification reform.

It's fine here in WA.

We just watch the news about the mess that is what is left of the rest of the country.

...

Wait...

Did that make sense?!

Canberra has been odd lately. Today was VERY hot, and as soon as I went inside, it started pouring rain. Had no clue that it would rain at all, then it just starts bucketing down.

It's been so hot lately that I'm constantly in underwear/fan mode.

I live here, so yes (didn't vote though).

You expect Australia to be commonly covered in the news? Pfft, you crazy. We get excluded from online services and games because we're not worth the effort of catering for. Only the worst of our troubles have a shot at being public knowledge internationally.

Living in Ballarat is somewhat influencing my intake of Australian news.
Sucks that most news programs are terrible now, only telling us one important thing (the finances) in between stories about people who have made slightly more comfortable socks. The 7PM project and Good News Week actually seem like the most informative programs on air.

A few days ago I read in international news that in flooded parts of Brisbane there are sharks swimming along the main roads. Can that possibly be right? 0_0
