I prefer Zelda. Peach and Daisy's voices always irk me because they're so ridiculously high pitched. Peach and Daisy don't have much depth. Zelda at least has a little more storyline/back story besides always being kidnapped(yet playing sports and games with said kidnapper anyways). Plus she's always reincarnated into slightly different personalities with each game which makes it interesting to fall in love with the character over and over again. It's never bland with Zelda.

Zelda... Though now people mention it, Midna is pretty amazing too.

Honestly though, I do love Rosalina. But in spite of that little crown thingy (and speculation about her relationship to peach), I have a hard time thinking of her as a princess...

I don't know where this theory comes from, (did I read it somewhere? Is it something I made up myself?)

Anyway, the events in Mario Galaxy seem to kind of lean towards Rosalina being the goddess of the Mario universe.
Especially if you observe how she is around Lumas, you kind of get this very motherly vibe from her.
Rosalina comes across as 'creator of the universe as mother figure'

Which is weird, but kind of seems to negate the 'princess' thing a little.

She's always been a princess.
Mario Galaxy calls her one.

Super Mario Galaxy bio:
"Not much is known about Rosalina, the lonely princess who wanders the cosmos in the Comet Observatory, a giant starship that travels the celestial expanse. She is a great friend of the Luma, taking them in and caring for them as if they were her children. But there is a sadness behind her eyes. What has she lost out among the stars?"

Or, if you prefer from Shigeru Miyamoto:
"a princess from outer space and her family of talking stars"

Or the Mario Kart 8 website:
Link at the top reads: "Meet the new princesses!"
Link opens this image with text overlay that reads: "NEW Characters
Baby Rosalina and Pink Gold Peach
Hit the road as a bouncing baby princess or a metallic mystery woman!"

If you read what I said, whether she is or isn't a princess is largely irrelevant.

After all, I said "I have a hard time thinking of her as a princess" NOT "She isn't a princess"

One is a personal opinion/description of my feelings, the other is factual.

So, OK, fine. Officially she is.

It just has no relevance to anything I've said whether she is or isn't a princess. XD

Zelda wrecks shit, it just seems like that Princess garb of hers is bad luck. Always spells trouble. But I've never heard of Hyrule being in any immediate political trouble, so I'm assuming she's a damn good monarch on top of it all.

Personally though, what little that's been seen of Rosalina is the best. For one, she's FUCKING HUGE. Like, see her in Mario cart, she's at least a head above even the tallest of characters, including BOWSER. And she commands an army of Lumas, which can literally go supernova. Child Soldiers or not, it's an army of stars. In a battleship observatory. YOU CANNOT ESCAPE THE OBSERVATORY. That thing can send out scouts to ANY Galaxy it spots, plus haul ass at lightspeed. She even has a tragic backstory, mercilessly kidnapped form her home by the Lumas, she completely dominated them off camera and now RULES THE STARS.

She's totally a Space Pirate when Mario isn't there. After Mother Brain was destroyed, she usurpsed command, and rules from the sidelines. Metroid Prime 4 is going to be brilliant.

Is Rosalina really a Princess? She may have been before but I always thought she was more of a Cosmic Queen or possibly even a Goddess.
From the Mario Galaxy manual: "Not much is known about Rosalina, the lonely princess who wanders the cosmos in the Comet Observatory"

So yes, she is a princess. But she is also a goddess, from what we know. It is possible to be both.
Odd, the Canadian bilingual manual must have had a different writer for the English section. This is the one I have for her: This Keeper of the Comet Observatory floats through the cosmos with curious star creatures, called Lumas. Her past is shrouded in mystery.
