I've been called a noob a few times and I just laugh at them, only a noob calls other people noobs, like it makes them feel important or something.

A hacker once, and that one confused me. So, I'm being called a hacker because I'm actually doing better than you and I'm being fairly accurate with my gun? Yeah ok, that makes SOOOO much sense now.

People call you a noob for using a weapon = They suck with that weapon and is angry that you can use it better then they can.

People call you a hacker = they just can't accept, that they got killed by someone who is better at the game.

I never use in-game chat on shooters, I either don't have my mic plugged in or I'm talking privately to friends. Then we can accuse people of whatever and nobody gets irritated.

Some people do actually cheat For example on l4fd2 VS (god damn 4 grenade launchers on a party) but the ammount of actually people cheating compared to people who are just good doesnt match up. Though find BFBC2 doesn't have to many issues just people using under hand tactics which cant really hold against them unless the server rules prohibit. I use PC to clarify.

I once got called a Nuke Booster in MW2 for using the silenced UMP and kept kill the guy who was calling me a booster. He then called me a noob for not having a MLG account.

I was once accused of wall-hacking in Splinter Cell Chaos Theory Versus, all because the one Spy I was playing against ran into me literally 30 seconds into the match and I just happened to Charge and floor the retard. To a spectator it certainly would look like wallhacking, but damn, how stupid must you be to run into the arms of an enemy Merc?

But lately - I loathe being called a hacker because I won't even touch hacks with a 10 foot electric pole. It's especially aggravating when I kill someone in TF2 and I only did it because of lag compensation then the other guy starts screaming "HAAAAAAX BAAAAAN OMFGOMFGOMFGOMFGOMFGOMFGOMFG".

for some time now i've been bussy online gaming with mainly shooters. titles like S4leage and Blackshot (its likely that a lot of people here wont know them) and i started noticing how often people start calling others noob for using specific weapons. or calling people hackers due to server lag or just because the one accusing others gets killed. even i have been the victim of beeing called hacker and even got booted a couple of times. now this comes in mind to me that its very sad to start with.

i wondered what you people thought of it. and if you had any experiences like this.

(i probably have some very sucky grammar and, miss a great deal of punctuations in this post my apologies for that)

p.S. sorry for the poll that was accident i dont actualy have a poll.
It is a defense mechanism that helps them cope with losing. If you think that the enemy was cheating or otherwise playing unfairly, then the loss doesn't feel so bad.

Also S4 is pretty great shooter, I always get cries of "NOOB!" when I pop out of the shadows with my minigun! >:D

I've been called a noob a fair few times before, never a hacker though. Most people seem to be agreeing upon the same points so far, anything that is considered a "noob weapon" or whatever is still a part of the game and anyone can use it. Just because you think something is cheap or whatever is irrelevant, it's a part of the game so man up and get on with it!

Both essentially translate into English as "I suck more than you" and can be ignored.

Never go pro on CS...
Any time you go over a 5:1 K/D, you're called a hacker and the admins ban you from the server.
The only time I got to use my full potential on a CS server was when I became an admin on one, and everyone knew I wasn't hacking. Built up a 100-11 score, and all the players formed an alliance against me...

Stop hacking forum posts you newb.

But seriously it doesn't bother me anymore. Eventually being called gay or fag on the internet wont mean anything either.

Can't wait for that day. It's pretty annoying.

I don't know why but for some reason has the word noob lost all its meaning with which I am happy.

People accusing me of hacking in MW2 or TF2 is the most flattering thing they could say. Means I'm he-*****-man-slapping them.
