Poll: Nostalgia: Best NES game?

I voted MB3 but would have to give an honorable mention to Solar Jetman, that game was pretty awesome

I went with Super Mario Bros. 3, but there are loads of good titles.

I'm more of an Amiga guy though, so all my nostalgia goes towards games on that early PC.

Ducktales, my favorite platformer.

Besides the obvious classics like SMB3, I've also got a sweet spot for Batman, Castlevania III and Lifeforce.

I voted SMB3. I'd call that the best game of the 8 bit era to be honest.

Honorable mentions for Mega Man 2 and Zelda though. The Zelda series doesn't need this, it's already got the best game of the 16 bit era and the best game of all time in it's locker!

Had a lot of fun on my NES back in the day, but Super Mario Bros. 3 is just the best game made on that console. There's just no denying the genius of that game. It managed to stay true to the simple but very fun formula of the first, while improving on it greatly.

Compared to the advancements from SMB3 to Super Mario World (especially considering that was the next generation console) I think it was a bigger jump up in quality.

Uncharted Waters, fantastic game!

The Romance of the Three Kingdoms games were good too... and the Nobunagas Ambition ones were good too.

Have to say the first Final Fantasy. It's so strange that it was the best, not that I dislike the rest, but it was the best for sure.

Kid Icarus or Blaster Master but then I'd be forgetting Castlevania 3 or Batman. Damn it NES, why did you have to be so awesome?

Duck tales and Contra were my favorites
