Poll: ODST Commecial Poll did it satisfy you?

Nay for the simple reason I was already sold with the words 'Nathan Fillion, Adam Baldwin, Alan Tudyk'. The advert was needless excess although the melody was quite good.

Yeah, I totally don't get what exactly this commercial is trying to accomplish. It's got, like, a German funeral with an Indian guy singing in the background and it's all dark and depressing, like some kind of "All Quiet on the Western Front" in space. Halo, meanwhile, has almost nothing to do with... any of those things. It mixes in a lot of wacky humor here and there, and the war they're dealing with is probably one of the most justifiable and idealized wars against invading aliens in all of gaming. Indeed, they're even some of the most colorful and flamboyant aliens... There isn't anything remotely depressing about it. This commercial just... doesn't fit.

It's a Halo thread with the word "satisfy" in the title so I voted no.

Seriously though, everyone knows what Halo looks like, unfortunately. So I don't see why not showing the gameplay is that big a deal. We all know we're just getting the same old same old.

I really like the commercial, it's premise, music, and little action sequences are very enjoyable.

I noticed there was no game-play footage, but if you really think that the game was going to look like that or expected something else from a halo game then.....well......you're weird.

Dull answer, I know, but can't really think of any way to elaborate. Other than, it's nice to see some effort being made with the ad. Better than say, the Uncharted 2 advert that I've seeing doing the rounds on the TV recently.
