I'm 17, so in America I'm legally allowed to buy & play M rated games and no one can say shit about it.(even though my X-Box Live account seems to think otherwise.)

I'll be old enough to play it. Not old enough to buy it though. By the time I get it I'll be 14 but my parents know what I can and can't handle.

My parents are only really concerned in cases like GTA, they let me get the first Modern Warfare.

I'm 15 but probably won't get it because the PC seems to be getting screwed over.

Edit: Also, like several people said above, age ratings are stupid anyway. Elementary school kids who could handle M-rated games well were not a small minority when I was that age.

I know of at ton of kids under 18 and even 15 years of age that are getting this game. Ratings aren't really a factor over here, kids play what they want.

Well techinically it isnt illegal for someone under 17 to buy or own an M rated game but for the sake of the poll yes I'm old enough to buy it.

I get my dad to buy my games. He's cool with it, as he knows I'm a sensible non-psychopathic down-to-earth kid who will not be inspired by anything in this game.

I'm 17 and from Britain, so yes, I may not be the age the rating suggests I should be. Not that I'm buying MW2 anyway, I simply don't want it, for various reasons.

But the age ratings system is a joke, and I take issue with the government and/or moral guardians telling me what I should and should'nt be able to do because of some arbitrary number. People do not mature at the same rates, you cannot simply enforce a blanket age rating, and I do not respect such a thing. Now I've been playing the likes of GTA since I was about eight, and it hasn't had any sort of adverse effect on me. My parents taught me the difference between fantasy and reality, and I'm glad they did, instead of simply going along with the ignorant method of pulling the wool over my eyes and hiding such material from me until I was "old enough".

I honestly hate how game rating arn't enforced enough. And, since this has been confirmed by IW, and general knowledge. There is going to be a section in it where you either witness or play as terrorists. Doing "Terroristy" things. This is COMPLETELY Skippable and will have more then one warning telling you to skip it if it makes you uncomfy. But, I know for a fact that the bigger the warning is, the more people want to see it.

I fear that the community thats not old enough to read a Tom Clancy book (re: not a video game), will have a cow. You know what, bigger then a cow. As will most of the communities that have nothing to do with video games. (Think of Alien Side Boob times 5.)

Now, this is a very important part of the "movie", if you will. The story. And frankly. I want to watch and enjoy my movie/story in it's entirety. But I know, I really do know, that some developer said "Think of the 15 year olds." and MY game had to get kiddied up, even though it's an M rated game. No, I don't want a gorey, sweary, crap-filled tub just to make it "too mature", but the themes, the ideas, and the stories have to be kiddied up. At least they feel like they are in video games. Don't believe me? Go read a book. Go read a Tom Clancy book or something, how about "The Sum of All Fears" where terrorists detonate a nuclear device at the superbowl and kill millions of people. Thats not going to be in a video game unless those millions of people are either nazis or aliens. Or those things from Gears of War.

Either enforce it, or don't have it. But don't have it only to not enforce it.

I'm 17 so I'm not legally old enough to buy it.
I preordered it off the internet, so they don't check your age.

And considering age ratings are a joke pretty much all over the world, does it matter?

I just turned 17 a couple of months ago, so I can legally buy it in NYC. I used to get M-rated games at a... well, let's call it a "3rd party retailer."
WELL! Look at the tough guy.
