Poll: Okay, so who joined this site because of Yahtzee?

No, but a friend linked me his Left 4 Dead review, that's how I found the Escapist. I joined because of the community, found a bunch of interesting threads I wanted to comment on.

Yep, pretty much. Guilty as charged and all that. Lurked the forums for quite awhile, finally decided to join as people seemed to discuss some very interesting topics rather than just talking tripe 90% of the time.

EDIT: Came for the Yahtzee, stayed for the Name Game, Critical Miss, Jimquisition and forums. Oh also Daily Drop when I get bored. ^^

I done showed up and lol'd at that man's reviews, then I carefully branched out to other videos, read up on the latest gaming news and done hooked myself, went through the forums and decided I had opinions too and I joined up so's I could throw in my thoughts

Saw the first ZP episodes on Youtube, got to this site, and joined some while later in 2007. I've watched every ZP episode so far, yet haven't gotten the badge for it, unfortunately.

Yahtzee Is the driving force that made me a member, then I tried everything out and found that he is number one. Hands Down. Though Extra Credits was an extremely close 2nd...

No i didn't. I first looked at the site for apocalypse lane. Then unforgotten realms. And then joined half way through the series doomsday arcade.
Now I usually come back here for forums and zero punctuation.

I actually was first exposed to the site during March Mayhem and then ended up watching some of the videos and reading some of the articles and I have been lurking here ever since.

ZP's the site's strongest selling point in my opinion, but I'm glad I joined mostly because it shows I care, that I love what the LoadingReadyRun guys put out, or MovieBob or, Hell, mostly everyone on the site. They've got excellent columnists and they cover everything with just enough professionalism mixed in with just the right kind of irreverent attitude.

While The Escapist wouldn't need ZP to be awesome, I'm extremely glad Yahtzee's around. He's one of the few reviewers whose opinion I actually trust, and that comes from someone who's also got IGN, GameSpot and GameTrailers bookmarked.

Plus, his endorsement of Minecraft is enough to make any self-respecting fan gush will poorly-contained glee. I did try building a set of golden balls and a cock in honour of his video, but getting enough gold in a legit manner was a Herculean task. I gave up after two gold blocks.

Well I first found the website in 2009 because Rurikar started uploading videos here. But then he stopped uploading and I abandoned the site for a year, then I discovered it again last year because of Yahtzee So ye I guess

Yeah, I joined because of Yahtzee. The forums are why I stay, but Yahtzee got me here in the first place.
