Poll: On quick scopers

Well, I'm sure that THIS is an original topic, aye?

But any-damn-way, here's my view on everyone's favorite class since they nerfed the 1887s and everyone got tired of Glocks: Quick scopers.

There's nothing wrong with quick scoping; it's just that when you use that Godawful perk, a Prick Brigade standard issue sniper rifle (Intervention FMJ Fall camo), do nothing but quick scope, and only can quick scope, that there's a problem.

It wouldn't be quite as annoying if they didn't all have this pro mentality elitist complex.

You want to know how to be a "real" "professional" as far as quick scoping goes?

Alright.

First step: Forget everything you ever knew, thought you knew, or ever will know, about Sleight of Hand.
Second step: Equip an Intervention.
Third step: Equip it with an ACOG, and send it to be painted with Woodland camo.
Fourth step: After getting your gun back from the shop, equip Scavenger, Stopping Power, and Ninja.
Fifth step: Equip your favorite pistol, with your favorite attachment; I like DEagle Akimbo.
Sixth step: Equip whatever equipment you like, and whatever special grenades you like; I like Claymores, and Stuns; although sometimes I use C4 and Flashes.
Seventh step: Join a room, and gaze in amazement, as you do just as good, potentially better than you do quick scoping with that damn perk.

And guess what? You can't be called a complete twat that deserves to be abducted, skinned alive, placed in an ice-cold lemon juice, salt, and battery acid bath, until you die from bleeding out, poisoning, or shock, and then sent straight to hell to suffer for eternity; no, because you're actually using SKILL instead of a damnable perk that does all the work for you, and you're doing it how we used to do it back in the days of CoD4, when you were actually "pro" if you could quick scope good, and you didn't have, need, or want a damn perk to do all the work FOR YOU like some complete. Skill-devoid. TOSSER!

Endorsed by William Fyssher, Allen Shepard, Kathrine "Kat" Fyssher, and some guy with two different colored eyes. Freaks me the fuck out.

You know what I got tired of? Online multiplayer. It wasn't fun; it was tedious, and frustrating, and most of the games I have played that have this mode sacrifice story and characterisation for it. I'm not even going to name the most obvious culprit. I'm free from the lot.
EDIT: On my opinion of it; I'm indifferent. Gamers should be able to use any tools the developers provide to win. They're about as annoying as anyone else with a gun.

Shotguns all the way. It's the only 'noob' tactic on that list that requires a bit of skill.

So... I'm not trying to be rude, I'm genuinely asking you, here, but: What if gamers used a tool (I.E. gun) that has literally no recoil, very good damage, a really large clip, full-auto firing rate, and all of the weapon attachments you can have on a gun at the same time; that was accidentally left in by the developers for testing purposes, but they can't remove it for some convoluted reason, and half of the game's player base is using it?

The gamers are technically using what the developers developed. Would you see a problem with it?

Yes, shotguns require training. Skill? Not so much.
Besides, there's a semi-auto one shot kill shotgun, a fully automatic shotgun, and a shotgun with a nigh-bottomless clip. Do they require any "skill" to use?

Although, the Ranger requires skill to use.

You need to learn to NEVER fire both barrels.
You need to use FMJ to be taken "seriously".
You need to learn exactly what the rather short range is.
And you need to learn to reload after every kill but only when appropriate.

And if you do use akimbo, you need to learn to under absolutely no condition fire all four barrels at the same target.

Reason one: It's more often than not a one shot kill.
Reason two: If you're out of range, congratulations! You just wasted all of your ammo, and will be killed by your target!
Reason three: If you fire all four barrels at a target, but there's more than one, congratulations! You just got killed because you're an idiot! Have a medal.

I like to stab things :3 M9 w/ tactical knife and the whole marathon, lightweight, commando skidoo. no real skill involved, all you have to learn is where not to go, unless you like sniper bullet soup. when i get bored of stabbing I just use an AK-47. whatever works that day :D

I was sort of assuming that if a weapon requires practice and training, and has to be used in a particular fashion that it takes skill to use it. I guess it's just how you define the word.

And yes, they've made the shotguns somewhat easier to use in MW2, but you still need to get close to people. That, I think, is where the skill in using them lies.

It's funny how you are actually called noob for hard-aiming now nowadays? It's like aiming down sights is for total sissies now. A frequent bitching regarding Gears of War 2.

"What do you use aiming and crosshairs for, you fucking ...!"
"Wow what a noob, you can't battle me but you have to hard-aim like a piece of ...."

Basically, people ***** about anything which is actually warranted in the game itself. I endorse noob tubers, I honestly do. I endorse two-piecers, I honestly do. It's a cheap tactic and ruins the fun but war and combat is never fair, my mommie told me. Just do what makes you SURVIVE and ACHIEVE VICTORY. There is no honor in games so far I am concerned so I intend to blast everyone with whatever tactic and weapon I have.

Quick-scopers are annoying bunch as they fail miserably and drag out these so-called high tense and cool battles. Just hard-aim and win already.
haha yeaaaah my army buddy played MW2 for the first time a few months ago, he was like "GOD DAMN! that dude wasnt even looking at me and he shot me! (quick-scope)"

Yes.

Because it's pure evil. Ask anyone who doesn't use/abuse it.

And I would rather, as well, brother. But playing MW2 spoiled me with it's sweet animations, interesting weapon attachments, and akimbo pistols...

I guess so, it is just how you define it.

Getting close to people is easy.
Well, for me. No one else.

I answer the word(s) why/how, with these:

Stun grenades.
Marathon.
Ninja.
Buildings.
And tactics, to make use of cover, and close distance.

That last one is why everyone else can't use shotguns in the open.

I would, but I already used up all of the slots.

What do you play in the stead of MW2? And if you say BC2, we're done, professionally. They. Aren't. At all. The same.

I don't understand when people wail about stuff like this.
If someone beats you (repeatedly) it means that they are better than you. Only losers say that "they were cheating/using a noob tactic" they're tactic is obviously better than yours.

I personally don't use these "noob" tactics because I don't think it's much fun.

I hate idiots like that.

I was once using a riot shield, and I was called a pussy, fag, and noob, in the same sentence.

Feeling annoyed, I replied: "So, I'm a pussy, and a fag, for opting out of having a PRIMARY weapon, and having only a pistol?"

The replies after that, each from a different person, were: "yes" "u hacker pussy" and "Pistol dick."

I have no real problem with it, but I have a problem with their "YOU'RE A NOOB UNLESS YOU QUICKSCOPE!" mentalities. I fail to see how enjoying playing the game differently from them makes you a less skilled player. (Note - "that's how I enjoy playing the game" does not encompass tactics that originate from the game being downright broken such as OMA Danger Close)

i play... BFBC2... its way more balanced. no sodding Kill-streaks. Snipers actually have to snipe and Rush is my favorite game mode ever. also theirs way less 12yr olds on BC2 so my eardrums stay intact.

and there's a load of other stuff like good teamwork being rewarded and excellent vehicles. i can elaborate more if you wish.

MW2's ok but it makes me rage too often due to unbalanced weapons and Uber Lag. (BC2 has no lag for me but i physically cannot play MW2) if i get killed on MW2 in 50% likely to rage about how unfair it was (usually about how i shot him but that didn't register) if i get killed on BC2 however i almost never rage unless they were using one of the few cheap tactics.

i guess were done then ;)

How is it pure evil to aim down the sight slightly faster? There are MUCH more evil perks in MW2 *cough* marathon, lightweight, commando *cough*

Im not going to reply to you ever again, akimbo anything ruins everything.
