Mediocre at best. Simply because i prefer more lyrical music, but that doesn't mean i totally neglect metal, i have a small collection of it.

So, basically, Dragonforce uses a common metal musical structure, but makes its musical interlude longer between mid-chorus and final chorus. Yep, they're totally Metallica ripoffs.
I guess I didn't say what I meant as clearly as I had thought. I am not saying that DragonForce is a Metallica ripoff. I am saying that they play LIKE them. In their song structure and solo style, mostly, but in other smaller things as well.
Okay, that I can understand. Still, I think they differ plenty in other ways to make them distinct.

I guess ultimately, it comes down to taste, then (big surprise). I do like a lot of Metallica's stuff, but I really find Dragonforce's power metal structure and instrumentation more appealing ('sides, I'm a D&D nerd. My line between "cheesy" and "awesome" is blurred!).

I have a good amount of metal in my collection. there are a lot of great acts in metal, but then there are some terrible acts too.

I'm a student of Sturgeon's law, "90% of anything is crap." its the 10% that one has to look for.

I'm pretty sure the best metal band to ever walk to Earth is Dethklok.
