Poll: One crime to end them all...

Inspired by the other thread I have to ask what I thought it would ask.

What is the worst kind of crime that you would commit, if it would mean none happen after it.

For example, if you do a hit of heroin, nobody would ever do heroine again. If you kill someone, nobody after you would ever murder anyone ect.

To be clear, in order to eliminate this crime from eet happening again, you must first commit it.

I'm curious to see how far people would go to end the crime of their choice.

Theft and traffic offences, all the rest I either don't consider to be a crime or would not want to inflict on anyone myself. Also, it's Heroin, not heroine, unless Joan of Arc is now considered a pharmaceutical product.

OT: I misinterpreted the OP to mean 'which crime would you do to stop all crimes" and I picked theft, which I would have done to some megacorp that I hate (like walmart or monsanto).

If I had to commit the crime to stop it? Almost certainly murder. I know more than one person I'd consider whacking under less noble circumstances that stopping all murder, ever. I'd even do it if I had to accept the punishment for my actions as well. Seems pretty clear cut.

As for the rest of the list;

* Traffic offences and theft I don't particularly care about.

* Why the hell would I want to stop all recreation drug use? If this was "get addicted so nobody ever had to deal with addiction again" I might consider it.

* Assault comes a close second to murder - though murder wins out.

* Sexual Assault/Rape/Child Molestation. As much as I'd love to stop this shit, I couldn't bring myself to ever commit it. If the question was "would you give your life to stop a type of crime?" I'd be down here. I'd probably even pick it over murder.

Sexual assault. But since I couldn't bring myself to do it to a live human with a family and all...I think I'd try to find a man without a family who lived by himself and had recently committed suicide by hanging himself. Wearing gloves or whatever, I'd just jack him off or something (since numerous people do die "like that" - I'm talking about autoerotic asphyxiation), so I wouldn't leave any fingerprints, and then I'd cover him back up. That way, no psychological harm has been done; only the dignity-taking of a dead man alone. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.

Morally, I refuse to participate in harming another even if it saves another. Just because you may stop all rapes in the future does not excuse the fact you must rape another. Because of this, I am disappointed in anyone picking rape, murder, child molestation, and such. However, I would be willing to undergo being forced to take all drugs (Meth, Heroin, Marijuana, Crack, Estacy, Acid, etc) and in such sacrificing my body in exchange that those drugs may never be used again. Yes, you read that right, I want Marijuana gone just as much as I want Heroin gone.

(I'm not going to bother reading any more responses to this thread after this post because I know it'll just be tons of people arguing with me)

If not then one of the 'badder' drugs, like meth or heroin.
