German, it's my family history, so if i was going to pick up a language, it'd be German. Hell, i even fit the steriotypes of a German, tall, dark eyes and hair, wide shoulders[small]...and inclinations to murder[/small] kidding...kidding[small]...but not really kidding.[/small]

None of the above in the poll. I'd go for Japanese.

I'm fascinated with Japanese stuff, and I love the language.

Out of all those, Russian. I just think it sounds the coolest and would be the most interesting to learn.
Though Icelandic takes the award away from both in general.

German or French would make the most sense. Where's English? Not everyones language is English?

When given my choice in 9th grade between French, Spanish, German, or Chinese, I chose Chinese.

So yeah, probably Russian.

For everyone that really must vote english for whatever reason, please go here instead and vote English to your heart's content. (OK, only once but you get the idea):

Well, I'd say english, but I'm biased, I only speak three foreign languages and it's the one I speak best...

Swiss wouldn't have a chance anyway.

all those languages seem to have things that make them to complicated. english seems to ahve a lot of rules but you can ignore them as long as your message get to the right person.

I think Chinese would be a good language because all the subtleties of pronunciation and connotation, and the descriptiveness of characters you can group to form new meanings. It could have a good chance of adapting well to other cultures and viewpoints.
