I am so glad I play games where people don't insult each other.

What games would these be?

I typically comment on their education, social economic status, detached social ethnicentricities, age, and their economic dependance on others. More than likely, when they use overly homophobic comments they tend to fall into either of those categories.

When I play online with strangers I usually mute everyone. I don't want to talk to those people.

normally I try to use different insults that sound like they would have been 'racey' in the 1920's
"you daft prune!"
"impetuous fool"
"blithering idiot"
"fagballs"

Mostly, I've come across 10 year olds spouting crap about my mother.
But otherwise, the vast majority of online insults that I've come across is fag/noob.
Just start ragging on them when they pause to take a breath or something, and they'll either cry, storm away, or get so indignant that they are thrown completely out of their game.
