Ok just to clarify I am terrifed of ghosts, the thought of someone watching you while you sleep and you can see them and you don't want them there makes me very uncomftable. So as you would expect I have never tried a Ouija Board.

Have any of you? if so what happened?

The only time I've heard of an Ouija Board was from a Calvin & Hobbes comic.

So no, I've never tried one.

No I have not. Not that I think they are some gateway to hell made from cardboard, but I just thought the whole idea as silly

No. I don't intend on using one. I'm terrified at the possibility of summoning a ghost or demon.

Yeah, they're a bunch of what we in the business call "Bullshit" along with ghosts, fairies, unicorns, dragons, goblins, nymphs (sadly), succubi, sirens, loch ness monsters and girls who love nerdy guys and are attracted to the fact you have a level 12 Paladin who wields a +3 claymore of orcslaying.

No, but my mother told me about the time that my uncle and a bunch of his friends used one.

Apparently it was was freaky enough to send four teenagers running down the stairs like bats outta' hell.

I tried it once.

Fuck-all manifested. Except for this pervasive, nebulous sense of shame at fulfilling yet another teenage cliché.

Never tried one; doubt I ever will.

although there are certain members of my family who believe in such bullshit, which is highly entertaining.

My dad used a Ouija board when he was younger but hasn't touched one since. Stuff on one wall of the room flew across the room and smashed on the other wall. A friend of mine also used one in a cemetary with friends (fuckwits the lot of them), while they were using it one of the girls felt hands around her neck choking her.

And to back up my belief that evil spirits do exist, my mum's best friend recorded a time when her and a bunch of friends were inspecting a house they were going to rent. They couldn't find one of their friends and went back through the house. They found this friend in a room that felt like it had frozen over and he was shivering uncontrollably. They pissed off out of the house and left their friend behind and when they watched the recording all they could hear in the background were dogs, cats etc and there were no animals around at the time.

My sisters best friend could see her grandmothers spirit, but didn't know it was her grandmother until she described it to her mum.

It's an understatement to say I believe in spirits regardless how much others try to convince me otherwise. And I will never use one myself.

Substituting one form of lying crap for another (Penn Jillette and his particular brand of "truth" [http://www.bautforum.com/off-topic-babbling/33158-penn-tellers-episode-second-hand-smoke.html]) is not a good strategy for maintaining credibility.

If you know what to look for you can see who is moving it, their finger will flex in the direction the thingy is about to move. Its really easy to tell. They're total bullshit.

He later admitted he was wrong about that episode. Not that you should fully trust Penn and Teller in the first place. Bullshit! is what I watch for a good laugh, I don't really expect intelligent arguments or to learn anything.
