Both are a bit lame for breakfast. Waffles are rubbish, they're either too hot or too cold and the texture is weird and chewy, and you need a separate device to even make the stupid things. As for pancakes, those thick things you have to soak in syrup to even eat are not much better. I like the crepe kind but that would be a brunch rather than a breakfast kinda thing.
Chewy doughy things are ok for desert though, with ice cream and fruit compote.

Dessert food?

For...

For breakfast?

My god, no wonder you guys are so goddamn fat :D
I think you'd be hard pressed to find someone who regularly eats either of these for breakfast. A pancake breakfast is almost like a steak dinner. It's just called breakfast food because people ONLY eat it at breakfast. The idea of eating it for dessert sounds ridiculous. Do you guys eat bacon and eggs for dessert too?

I don't bother with breakfast at all unless it's a weekend, it's just too time consuming. But if I did it'd be pancakes all the way. Waffles are tasteless and hard, pancakes are soft and delicious with or without syrup.
...I eat pancakes for desert. Mostly because my roommate likes to make them but doesn't eat breakfast.

Either one is fine with me. It really depends on what I feel like eating at the time. Although I generally don't have either most mornings.

Pancaces for breakfast, waffles for dinner is the usual deal.
No tofu. never tofu.

My family has waffles for breakfast every Saturday with a perfected recipe. So... those. :D

Don't be hatin' on tofu, now. If you utterly obliterate it with sugar and melted chocolate, it makes a truly kickass mousse.

Waffles; I love pancakes, don't get me wrong, but when I have the option between the two, it will always be waffles.
I usually don't get to eat either, it's one of those things that's a rare occasion, like a steak dinner or a good beef Stroganoff.
