It depends on how you define death world.

To me, Wal-Mart on a Monday afternoon is death world.

Hehe a hole Imperial Guard regiment made of people with 3 balls. In a 40K scene probability not. Not as bad as say Catachin ( I think that's how I spell it) or some of the others.)

... 'death world'?
Where everything is trying to kill you. EVERYTHING.
Well, if you put it like that...

Have you seen after the credits?
*SPOILERS*

After you kill the final boss and watch the cutscene, the camera cuts to the shot of some satellite/space station where I guessed the Guardian Angel lady was or something, and suddenly it zaps the Claptrap at the start of the game, who becomes (in Borderlands boss-fight style) CL4PTP - Interplanetary Ninja Assassin. Even the cute little robot who gave you the tutorial is trying to kill you =[

I think you mean 'dead planet'

If so then yes, it is bloody depressing and the only form of productivity seems to be those fucking wind-farms. Nice sky though.
No,I mean that everything seems to be ready to kill you.
