Poll: PC gamers, what could be your console of choice?

As a PC gamer, there is no end to my laments (read: bitching) to the late or lack of demos, shitty ports, missing DLCs, the whole shenanigan. But most of the time I direct my anger at the devs and publishers (except for when it comes to MS, who seems to be deliberately sabotaging our platform by paying devs to withhold DLCs and titles to make them XBox exclusive), not the console communities. Hell, I would've widened my horizon and bought a console myself, if I could spare the cash.

So my question is: PC gamers, besides your hypothetical high-end supercomputer, what console would have you preferred? If you already have a PC and a console, just put in the console you bought. If you have multiple consoles or all the platforms, besides dying in hell, just put in your favorite one. And pure console gamers, keep your sneaky paws off my poll!

Personally, I would've gone for the PS3. I would love to go through all the MGS, Ace Combat and Shin Megami Tensei titles that I've missed.

If I absolutely had to pick a console, I would pick an Xbox 360. It would mean a lot of work for me though as, due to my general disdain for console controllers, I would have to take the controller apart, find all of the wiring and somehow make it into a mouse and keyboard.

Well, I own a 360. When I say own, I've had it for a few years, its currently sat at home, and used far more by my brothers than me.
I honestly can say hand on heart that there are incredibly few games that are actually only released on consoles that I feel any motivation to play anymore. Those that are I can either rely on my brothers to ruin for me by rent/buying and playing them none-stop for the better part of a week, turning into more of a movie.

I'll just do what I've always done, stick with the pc.

I voted pancakes. Why you ask? because any money i have would either be better spent on PC games i don't have, or making my PC even better, (3d screen, better sound, software like fraps etc)... although is i was offered a choice of free consoles, well, let me put it in terms of math.
PC-games>PC-upgrades>pancakes>PS3>printer-maintenance>charity>Xbox360>bottled-water>wishing-well>Wii

and that right there is a good approximation of my spending hierarchy.

EDIT: dang, kinda ninja'd

Got Xbox360 first, RRoDed, got a PS3.

I've had playstations since PS1. They've got a selection of games that are often hard to find on PCs. Xbox games are usually more PC-like (mindless action or sports). PS has the likes of Ico, jRPGs (for those who like that kind of thing...) and a few incredible exclusives.

I still like my PC best though.

Trust me, I know. But this was just a nice alternative for the 'I hate consoles!' option. Just keeping it civil. :)

PS3
I've always stayed with the PS series, and i find the xbox controller ridiculous and unwieldy.

I've got a PC and PS3, perfect for me as a few of the 360 exclusives were more like Microsoft exclusives.

While the pancakes option was very tempting, I have found myself craving a PS3 recently. This is because someone (possibly on Sony's payroll) let me play Gran Turismo 5. Suffice to say I had a very large "WANT!" moment but my mood was deflated when I realised that I would also have to buy a TV* as well as the PS3!

There are other games I want by the way, it's just that GT5 happens to be a PS3-exclusive title. Heavy Rain and Read Dead Redemption are second and third on my "want" list if you care.

* Yes that's right, I do not own a TV. I'm not sure if it amuses or annoys me when people react as if I just told them that my favourite snack was a deep-fried penis when I say I don't have a TV. At the moment, there is only one TV show I watch (Top Gear) which I watch on BBC's iPlayer.

I wouldn't buy a console at all, I hate the controllers with a passion. Unless there's a console you can attach a mouse & keyboard to, and most of it's games will support it.

And reading the post just above mine reminds me, I also would have to buy a TV to go along with the console since I don't own one and don't plan on getting one.

Well, I'm a PC gamer and I play on PS3 as well, due to Ratchet & Clank, LittleBigPlanet, and Portal 2's amazing deal

I'd argue that a PC gamer would find the 360 more to their liking, given that it's status as a multi-functional doodad.

I don't either, I run both PS3 and PC through my monitor.

Xbox 360. It has interesting exclusives (like Halo) instead of cat-eared girls and Indiana Jones knockoffs, bigger community and more comfortable gamepad (i hate Sony ones, they're designed only for small asian hands).

OP - you shouldn't have placed Wii so close to reasonable options, some people accidentally clicked it.
