My family has a Wii and I own a 360. I don't use them allot though. The only console game that I really want to play right now is Heavy rain... I want to play it soooo bad >.< I'll probably have to try to borrow a PS3 and a copy of Heavy rain from someone.

i'm gonna say PS3.

i had a Wii till my house was burgled and haven't bothered to replace it. so not that...

for me it was between the 360 and the PS3
alot of the 360 "exclusives" also appear on PC so for sheer diversity i'd have to go with the PS3

but, to be honest even then i really wouldn't get one.
even with "PC games Dying", which i totally don't beleive (hint: WoW has well over 10,000,000 players world wide where's the 360/PS3 version?) i will probably stick with my K/M till I stop gaming.
though not everyone likes MMO's

judging by my tastes some people would think I should be a console gamer...But I still prefer my PC

I would get a console If I could afford it but the idea of try to decide which games to get on PC or console makes my head hurt, I mean Im not sure the amout of games id actually get would justify the purchase, though there are probably enough

I have been a mostly PC focused gamer for about 2 years now, but I was raised on consoles like the N64, but in particular, the Xbox (my dad used to play split-screen Halo:CE with me when I was 8). So if I had to pick one I would have to go with the Xbox 360. I blame nostalgia.

Also the last time I used a PS3 controller I nearly threw it out the window out of frustration.

I have this strange idea of not having allegiance to any brand or product...

...I just play the games I like regardless of what platform they are on.

PS3 (because I own one already), my gaming PC isn't the best, far from it actually, but it runs games ok, so I like something with a little more power.

Also, I don't think anyone has said this yet, but there are mouse controllers for PS3. I own one, it's sort of a nunchuk+mouse combo. I don't know about the 360, though.

Hmmm my wife really likes karaoke, so Sing-Star gets the PS3 over the line, blue-ray doesn't hurt either. Oh and I have a dual shock controller for my PC not an Xbox one.

It was, and still is, my N64. Apart from Timesplitters, my Xbox has turned out mostly to be a waste of money.

A PS3. I couldn't give a shit about the Xbox exclusives, online multiplayer, or anything the Xbox360 offers me that the PS3 does not. Also, it's closest to a PC and it looks pretty. Also, my best friend has a PS3 so we could play together on online co op games instead of only being able to play together like once a month.
Too bad my sister made us get a 360 instead. D=

yeah, and i know picking the PCs most successful game of all time is cheating a bit, But...

Starcraft 2:
how long did we wait for this game?
Where's the console version of this AAA game?
in fact where is the version of ANY RTS game? while i'll admit some atempts have been made to consoleifiy RTSs such attempts aren't as good as the PC versions. (IMNSHO)

Half Life 2 (& episodes):
again long term fanbase and it was solely a PC game... till TOB anyway.
not that i have anything against Valve making money on ports, we get enough BAD ports TO the PC so at least we gave something good to them!

Flight Sims:
where's the full flight yolk for the 360/PS3?
until then the hardcore flight sim enthusiasts will stay attached to their PCs
Sorry

RPGs:
ok, the jury is out on this.
I prefer them on the PC, but i don't think PC CRPG players are the majority any more.
Fallout 3/NV
Mass Effect 1/2
Dragon Age
Final Fantasy [insert numbers here...]
all perfectly good RPGs with very good console versions.
however i'll stick with my PC... for now.

1st Person Shooters:
OK, i want a game where all platforms can compete.
my money's on the PC if only for the Keyboard/Mouse.
i've tried playing a FPS on a pad and somehow it didn't "feel" right.
tho to those who do use consoles seem quite adept i'd still bet on the PC players

Finally, for the sake of balance the following genres the consoles can keep... not because they are crap, but because there are some things you just can't do with a PC!

Racing Games:
i can count the number of truly great PC racers on one hand, on the console side i'd run out of digits... even with my socks off!

Music Games
while i have seen the PC attempts at this there's just somthing cooler about gathering your mates over to see you suck... or not as the case may be
which brings me to...

Split Screen:
This works so much better when you are crowed around a big TV.
FPS/Racing/Music it just works in a social environment.
infact Consoles themselves seem more geared towards Social gaming, and why shouldn't they be? it's one of the consoles strenghts

I'll admit i'm a PC gamer.
But I'll also admit that Consoles have their uses too.

TL;DR
PC rock.
so do Consoles.
Deal with it!

Already own a PS2 and (less relevant) a Dreamcast. There is a Wii in the house, but it's not mine.

A 360, PS3, DS or PSP would all be quite nice for getting certain titles that are either unavailable or inferior on PC, but frankly, I don't have that sort of money or time.

While the pancakes option was very tempting, I have found myself craving a PS3 recently. This is because someone (possibly on Sony's payroll) let me play Gran Turismo 5. Suffice to say I had a very large "WANT!" moment but my mood was deflated when I realised that I would also have to buy a TV* as well as the PS3!

There are other games I want by the way, it's just that GT5 happens to be a PS3-exclusive title. Heavy Rain and Read Dead Redemption are second and third on my "want" list if you care.

* Yes that's right, I do not own a TV. I'm not sure if it amuses or annoys me when people react as if I just told them that my favourite snack was a deep-fried penis when I say I don't have a TV. At the moment, there is only one TV show I watch (Top Gear) which I watch on BBC's iPlayer.
You don't have to buy a TV. You can plug it into a HD PC monitor with a HDMi Cable.

On topic, I have a PC and and a PS3 and I use my PS3 for LBP, Ratchet and Clank and any other game that is either PS exclusive or that my PC can't run. (I really need a new computer but I don't really have any money).
