Bjørn....
It's like Bear in Norwegian....
Well whaddya know? Another person with my name. And this is the first on that's on the internet *gasps*

I honestly thought that I'd be the only one (at the very least here) but hey, surprises are everywhere.

Now, a question for you:
How do you explain an American how to say our name?

I'm Adrian. I somehow knew that Yahtzee, in his Braid review, was going to say my name the moment before he did. Even though I'm probably the one person on the entire Escapist to whom it does not apply at all.

There's one now :D

CTRL+F ftw.
Awesome!! I have never met another Martin in my life (Seriously, it is not a very uncommon name where I live, yet I don't know anybody named Martin)

I will befriend you just for that... =D

Buh-yorn, with the 'uh' in 'buh' being the same sound pronounced between the 2nd t and l in little.

...Wow, the only thing i could come up with was Bj-eeh-rn.

Hm, perhaps I can finally make my american relatives pronounce my name right.
But it's so funny to pick on them for it, so I dunno.

If I had a cookie right now, you'd get it.

Well, I have no idea xD
I've never tried doing it....
Maybe go for the Bjorn version...
Can't remember what equals the Ø sound in the english language

Yeah, that sounds correct.
I remember my American relatives always turned frustrated as they couldn't pronounce it.

Mike. I probably guessed a little low. I know a ton of people in high school who have the same name and it's a pain doing role calle when a bunch of people have my name.
I've personally met 3 Escapists called Mike. There's also me, and two others I spotted on this thread, though I may have missed one or two.
So... seven thus far?

I don't think anyone has mine. My full first name is actually Michelangelo. Like the Ninja Turtle or Artist, whichever you think of. Also I'm not even Italian. My parents still haven't told me why they chose my name.

The name is Garrett

It must be an uncommon name seeing as so many people spell it wrong... They spell it Garret or Garett, and sometimes Garet. But usually, nobody can spell Garrett.
Well, that's one good thing about Dragon Age 2, then. A lot more people will be able to spell your name correctly, now. xD
I was on the verge of buying Dragon Age 2 when I was playing the demo, and at the end I realized that the main characters first name was Garrett.

I now own the game and I am glad I bought it.
