Personally, I'm a Whisky man. I enjoy it, and if I want to get drunk, I just have a bit more. sure, I love irish stouts and all sorts of wines too, but whisky will always be the drink for me. Oh, and I never had a drinking problem. *glares over at the 16 year old Lagavulin on my desk*

EDIT: I realize I left out Cocktails or Mixed drinks, but although they're a pretty popular choice, I cant fit them in anywhere. Just pick "Other" and specify, lads.

When I did drink, I drank what had the highest proof (With the exception of Everclear), or what would get me fucked up the fastest (Jager, most of the time).

The few times I drink it's usually cheap scandinavian beer. Which is about 100 times better than that watery piss you americans call beer. Sorry about being a snob, but...yeah, europeans do beer a lot better, in my experience. 'specially Germans and belgians, but I'm not gonna import beer.

I don't drink. Alcohol, anyway. Not intaking liquid would be a bit silly.
Tried a few things, like lager, cider and stuff, but never liked it. People keep recommending me stuff that tastes like non-alcoholic stuff, but I don't see why I can't just stick to the stuff that isn't alcoholic and save my liver.

I don't drink very much (like, one drink every three months), but when I do I drink mixed drinks with rum.

I've never been drunk, I never want to get drunk, I've never had more than one drink in a sitting (or in a three-month span), and I've never had a drinking problem. I drink in social settings, never alone or for the drink's sake. And I can't stand beer.

I'm pretty fond of mixed drinks, too. Another thing that isn't on the poll are things like liqueurs, which can be good on their own. Yet beer gets two options? I do like some limoncello, throw it in some Coke for something more drinkable. I also like Jack, either with Coke or on the rocks.

I drink a fair bit of ale, lager etc but I suppose what I most enjoy drinking is quality Red Wine. Basically anything upwards of £8 a bottle is tasty enough to justify it usually. What kicked it off was a holiday to France where you get the best wine by the carafe very reasonably priced and from then on it's been my drink of choice.

I can't stand any spirits though unless it's heavily watered down with sugery crap like orange juice or otherwise and if it's doubles or more I hate it. Singles though are a waste of time if I'm drinking. I had a 70cl party the other night where you have to drink a 70cl bottle of spirit before you go out and while I managed about two thirds to three quarters of it I also hated every second even with the king of all mixers ginger beer.

I'm going to put my vote on Cocktails, even if it isn't on there. I mean, I know they are expensive, but this is "If I could drink whatever I wanted", right?

This is how I am now. Except I drink only a single digit times a year. I hate the feeling tipsy. So I try to skip that phase. There is actually a 14 hour block of memory that isn't there because I downed half a fifth of vodka (100 proof, naturally) in 10 minutes and the other half a few hours later.

I did vote vodka, but I can't stand tequila.
