You're shallow. What? You dared me.
I don't think it's insane. Having an image of the perfect partner sitting somewhere in your head seems like a nice idea to me. Just don't ignore everyone below that standard, I think you'd be looking for a long, long time to find someone even close to what you described.

Everyone has their own idea of perfection. What you described isn't too close to mine.

If you really find someone you care about you'll overlook their flaws, or just get used to them and they will seem perfect, or at least as close as you'll get to perfection.

So to believe that someone is perfect? No that doesn't sound too insane to me!

I was thinking exactly the same thing. If you're going to talk about body types and perfection, you could at least look for a real-life person to count as the base.
Why would a "real" person have made a better basis?

you'd be hard pressed to find someone like that, but it's not quite insane unless you truely believe that this is the only person you could be happy with. I admit, I have a similar vision. My ideal women would be someone who looks like Lara Croft (or Lara Croft herself in a perfect world) but I'm not holding my breath waiting for that to happen

your concept of perfection is very odd to me...
ah well.
You can go ahead and think whatever you want.

This.

I admit that's a nice idea you have of perfection there. But the odds of happening are one in a billion.

With 6 billion people in the world, that means there are likely to be 6 people like that......

And your chances of actually meeting any of those 6 people are...?

I have to agree. I don't know what kinds of character traits this fictional person has, but considering they tend to have idealized traits in specific areas, it's quite unrealistic to expect meeting an actual embodiment of said traits.
And a person with those specific traits and looks? Nigh impossible.

You'll probably fall in love with somebody else anyway (maybe she'll even have some of those traits or none at all). Compromises are what make relationships possible in the long run, after all.

It isn't entirely clear how wiling you are to compromise on your ideal. Obviously there is nothing wrong with thinking about what your perfect girl would be as long as this doesn't stop you from getting to know others who aren't exactly like that, particularly in the physical sense.

Starting with an anime character and then adding improvements is no healthy way to set a baseline. (If I've understood you correctly) Try at least going with someone you've met, who is real :)

On another point, you aren't selling yourself very well compared to this ideal person:
"hardly willing to let my laziness get the better of either of us"
and
"not so [smart] to the point where I'd feel useless"
sound like "I'm lazy and a little insecure".
If this is your perfect girl then that's fine, but you souldn't be aiming for perfection (because it doesn't exist).
