Poll: Pirates or Ninjas?

Neither.
Pirates are brutal thugs. Guilty of pillaging, rape and murder on a massive scale throughout history. Ninjas are just assassins and spies. Just as amoral as pirates.
I know it's a boring answer, but the fact is I don't find either of these glamourized black spots in history to be cool.

Ninjas, especially historical ninjas because they're even more crazy than Hollywood ones. Ninjas were originally trained for all kinds of stuff such as guerrilla warfare, sabotage and such; they even dressed as enemy soldiers and stirred up trouble in the enemy ranks to demoralise them. Ninjas were effectively the feudal equivalent of Special Forces, therefore they rock.

EDIT: however, for the purpose of the poll, I'll say Pirates. They were manly men, and much more awesome then ninjas. The Pirate knew the meaning of the word survive, and were on the run from EVERYONE (even the guys that hired them). Plus, they had Blackbeard, and Calico Jack, and other great pirate names. Who do the ninja's have?

That's what the ninja want you to think. They're just in the shadows, waiting for the opportune moment to strike, and before you know what hit you, you have a shuriken embedded in the back of your head. Pirates just scream "YAAAAR!!!!" and do hit and run with guns or swing their swords wildly.royohz said:

Lastly, naruto != ninjas. They're more like medieval power rangers with ninja powers. The only REAL ninja in that series is Kakashi, and even he is debatable.
Pirates! YARR! There are so many variations on piratin' and pirates; some are smooth and cool (although these tend to be the French ones), they can be rugged and badass (Blackbeard styley) and they murder, rape, loot, steal, rape, drink, pillage, rape, fight, sail the seven seas, rape and lie. Ninja's ain't got shit on that.
Can I have a fusion of both and make a new breed of pirate ninjas?

Ninja undergo tremendous training for decades. They are capable of carrying out missions without even knowing who they are working with. It is said that their running capabilities were near inhuman. They are ever observant, smart, and possessors of great ingenuity and improvisation.
