DoW2 is a RPG that lets you play sometimes RTT.

It doesn't really need another category created for it... Most of these arguments seem to be arguments of degrees and not whether something exists or not. Maybe other RTS's are MORE strategic but that doesn't make DoW2 without strategy whatsoever. You can't argue it isn't in real time so it's a RTS.

It does feeling mostly like an RTS but I've never seen an RTS that has "boss-fights" in it before....that completely threw me! good fun though.

It's RTS. This sub-genre shit needs to stop. It says RTS on the cover? Don't dispute it, you're wrong and the developer is right. Accept it.

Does it annoy people so much that an RTS takes a different direction, that you have to cast it out and give it a new genre all of its own?

Can you imagine what would happen if we started sub-genre naming FPS games...
