I think I will, yes. In spite of the lukewarm response to Obsidian's past games they have all had merit. Alpha Protocol was guility of every sin a responsible reviewer pointed out yet it was still immensely entertaining (it was like that sequel to Deus Ex I always wanted, just 8 years too late and featuring a less coherent story!). KOTOR 2 was excellent when it wasn't a smoking ruin (which to be fair means that, on the balance, it was a masterpiece constructed from spackle and various contents pilfered from hobo bindles). Neverwinter Nights 2 is an improvement in most regards save online play and to be honest I never cared for the online component of EITHER game.
Each of their past games has been worthy of playing in spite of the existance of very real problems in each and every one of them. The same can be said of any game Bethesda has produced in recent memory and as such I have every reason to expect that Obsidian will manage to produce a comperable product.
Pfft, of course; I preorder the collector's edition for PC several weeks ago, in fact. Now all I need to do is save up enough money for a new computer before the end of October...
I'll get it after reading some feedback on it so I know what to expect, I had fun with Fo3 but it had lots of problems and I even wrote a small "essay" on it, and this one is being developed by obsidian so I'd rather wait and see how it fares.
