Poll: Playing as a gay character in a game.

I'd only be uncomfortable if there was some sort of a crazy God of War style QTE. I'd be more 'err?' than 'THAT'S AN ABOMINATION' though as homosexuality is fine by me. However, it may be hard to relate to a game with a gay protagonist. That's slightly hypocritical I suppose as everyone loves playing as girl characters for booty-related reasons.

I don't mind playing as one, but if that's the game's exploit, then I would mind.

Playing as a gay character while shooting aliens heads off: Yes
Playing as gay character during a sex scene: No

In Heavy Rain every time I saw female nudity I kept thinking I want to see some dude's hog. I wanted just one digitized ding-dong.

I feel the same about relationships. In ME2 I was dying for my evil Shepard to get it on with Jack, but she does not play "girl's club?!" Ack!

If you show a boob, there should be a ball... ball for a boob, I say.

I dont mind gays but when im playing a videogame I want my character to be badass.

as a gay gamer, i wouldnt have any problem with it, but i know it will rarely have any love interest iwith that character in any form, it is that bullshiv

In my first playthrough of Dragon Age: Origins my character boned everything that walked, which included fellow male Zevran. It didn't bother me at all, in fact I thought it was kinda funny.

So no, I'm not bothered by gay characters in games. Maybe if being gay was the whole focus of the game I'd find it hard to relate (or, god forbid, a gay porn game), but if I'm playing a normal character who just happens to be gay I don't mind at all.

The above statement aside: I really don't care, because I have more important things to worry about than what other consenting people do on their free time.

If it wasn't ever really brought up, I wouldn't mind. If it was made very clear (IE: Gay dates, sex, etc.) then I would be bothered by that.

I'm not gay, so I wouldn't enjoy any romantic stuff. No, not even if it was two women making out. Yes, I'm a guy and no, I genuinely don't find that fascinating. Yes, I'm aware that makes me stand out from virtually every other male out there.

But if it's just a gay character, I dunno. I liked Kima Greggs and Omar from The Wire, so I can't say I'd absolutely hate playing as a gay character.
