OK, here's the deal.

I love the Kingdom Hearts series. I fact I consider the second game to be the best game I have played to date.

I'm going to pause for a couple moments to let you finish laughing.

My question is: How many of you have played Kingdom Hearts and/or Kingdom Hearts 2? And further, how many of you liked it/them? Please give reasons why it was horrible/entertaining/wonderful. The title pretty much sums up my usual plea with people to not post anything racist/hateful on my threads, though they have a tendency to get locked anyway...

I'm playing the first one as I write this (no joke). I think it's a really good game, clever, obviously trying to flog off both Disney and Final Fantasy franchises but still great fun. I've bought the second off ebay and am looking forward to playing it.

Why would we have reason to laugh? Your likes and dislikes are not for us to judge. That being said, I don't know why you're embarrassed. It's not like the games are horribly done or laughing stocks of the gaming community, They fared just fine in reviews and have a pretty sizable fanbase.

I played chain of memories on the GBA. Good fun, nice combat system, although i didn't understand the whole "card" aspect.

I liked them. They didn't change my life or anything, but they kept me entertained for a few days.

Meh. I guess I let my "real life" friends rain down a bit too much hate on the games so now I feel like I have to defend myself before anyone hates on me for liking something. Proof that I'm not so mature as I think I am.

If you like the idea of writing a review check out the reviews section - they have a competition starting soon in which you review your 'guilty pleasure'. Kingdom Hearts obviously sounds like yours. And yeah, no need to defend yourself. This forum is pretty good about things like that (except maybe religion but thats another story.)

I played the second one all the way through. I did not care for the Disney characters at all and some come off as extremely annoying for me (That little Mermaid stage was really bad). Overall though it was an alright action RPG that just didn't provide a decent enough challenge for me that I was kind of disappointed at the end. I jumped straight into the hardest difficulty (not that remake whatever, the first version that came out to America) expecting to fight in some real grand boss fights. Today, I can see people literally playing with Sephiroth on youtube in that game and only get like two or three hits from the guy. I can't believe how easy that game is...

But to each their own opinion...

i played the first one on the ps2, to be honest, i just couldnt get into it.

It was a nice idea but had so many annoying things for me [having to qualify for the arena by destroying barrels in a stupidly short time, the cerberus boss, the fact sephiroth was voiced by a guy from n sync *shudder*]

When I first heard about the game I always sat on the side lines. But when I saw it on deal (buy 1 get one three) I decided to pick it up and see what the fuss was about.

In reality despite obviously being aimed at 15/16 year olds, it was an incredibly competent and deep hack'n'slasher - and quite frankly the only Disney game I have ever seen that didn't suck. Despite the general age planning for the young ones with the style of the graphics, the voice acting etc some things were definitely for adults as well.

Also there were moments where it could be really snuffing hard - I have still not beaten Sephiroth.

I have played and own them both, number one is an okay game, 7 out of 10 in my eyes. But number 2... woah, hell o a game to put it bluntly. 9 out of 10 as far as im concerned. Though the ending and the disney stuff does make my stomach hurt

I found them both to be horrible crimes against nature, combining the worst aspects of two company's products that I equally despise.

It's like they created this for the sole purpose of absorbing much of my hatred.

First one was an amazing game, but the second one was just okay, it was missing the diffuclty of the first one but still great fun. Overall, they were both entertaining but the first one was far and away better then the second.

The Gummi Ship upgrades in KH2 were one of the few things I thought the 2nd had better than the 1st but I'd thought the it was still good just didn't really have much if it's own stuff to make it as entertaing to me
...Then again it gave me my 1st long glimpses of Advent children Tifa an Could.
