I'm not getting any. But if I were, I'd get X, which is a cooler letter than Y. It's always X-Files, Project X, The X-Men, Malcolm X... why would anyone NOT get X? The only difference between games is the SAME DIFFERENCE between EVERY OTHER TWO POKEMON GAMES: some Pokemon are in one, some are in other.
X. We've already had a bunch of bird legendaries, I wanted the jewel stag.

X, because everyone seemed to want Yvetal or whatever its name is. I like the fairy deer, so I picked X. I'm probably going to get myself Y for Christmas, though, since I want all the mega evolution stones, and I don't want to deprive my friends of theirs.
Both, because that's what I've done since 2nd gen, I like to play and pick genders differently in each version, and trades are easier to arrange that way because you get to keep everything (and get boosted experience for stuff you don't wanna bug people too much about trading for), especially with mega stones needed for pokemon in the opposite version.
I remember preordering and just not caring which one I got. I didn't even remember which one I had preordered until I went in to pick it up. Ended up being X, which seems to be what the majority ended up getting.

Y, because I really like Yveltal. I'm probably going to get X sometime in the near future anyway.
I got Y because I liked Yveltal a lot more than Xerneas, I don't really care much about mega evolutions, I liked most of the Y exclusives more than X, and I don't really mess much with trading or online stuff really, so it was easiest just to catch them for myself rather than be bothered with trading.
Got X because I wanted Xerneas more, Yveltal is cool, I was able to get one in a trade, but Xerneas seemed more interesting. Plus it's got Charizard X, Fire/Dragon being my favorite typing, it was hard to pass up. Even if I don't use megalutions that much.
I got Y because of YyeltalDirty Harry. Luckily I had a friend who got X to get me a clauncher. I really don't care about the Mega Charizard x or Mewtoo x because mega lucario.
Well, I got both =P.

I got X cause I like the deer more. contrary to seemed to be the vocal opinion before I thought that Y's legendary looked like crap or t least not as cool as X's. especially since it was just another flying legendary. Though I will admit, Y has skelp which is awesome. Though I think other then that X has more of the better exclusives (especially megas, like MEGA AGGRON the most rocking pokemon to ever walk the face of the earth).
I stuck with Y because mega-mewtwo Y and the cool legendary.

I got Y because I thought X would be more popular hence with Y I can make more trades with my friends.
Turned out all of them bought Y, we should have communicated more.
Took a walk around the town, and the X:Y ratio was like 3:7. The bird pokemon on the cover is arguably more badass I assume.

Y,Better mewtwo and cooler legendary! X is far overrated, The mewtwo just looks normal but extra chubby.
