I keep my ingame persona generally nice. Gentlemen?

Only exception is when my teammates are stupid. Otherwise, walk straight to your death, I'll kill your killer.

When I find that I've played really well against my formidable opponents, yes, I will say "Good Game".

Otherwise, I don't bother. That way, it makes it meaningful when I type it.

I always open matches in RTSs with "gl hf" to show respect to the other player, and if they remain respectful throughout the game, regardless of outcome, I will say "gg".

So, yes, I mean it. I do it out of respect, and if a player loses my respect, I do not give them the "gg".

I remember playing CoD on the 360 when the console was first released, and lobbies were full of "good game guys", it was very well spirited to begin with. Nowadays though, you'll only hear that on the remote chance that you and the other team/player have an incredibly close match, and even then it's rare.

So I can see how, while people would still type it on PC, it could easily have lost it's meaning by now, in the same way people never say it on console.

I'll still say it and mean it, though only if it was a particularly outstanding match-up.

I actually type "good game" or "nice work, team".

Only when I win, mind you...
