I want to play a game. The device you are wearing is hooked into your upper and lower jaw

This is a follow up to "Your Father's Vote." Hopefully that poll got some of you thinking about where your political views come form. The results were actually very informative, but I know not everyone could be properly represented by that poll, which is why I came up with this one.

Who or what do you believe has shaped your political outlook the most?

being around my stepdad ranting for a few years has made me decide that they are all crooked and not worth the effort to vote on.

Are you sure this is gonna fix my snoring problem?

Seriously though, for me it's always the politician that'll affect my opinions towards them and they're policies. Given the current situation, I'll probably never vote Republican for the rest of my life.

I guarantee this will help with your snoring. Unless the loss of life thing happens. Then we send your next of kin a big chunk of head and a very nice card.

Well, I'm sure they'd appreciate the card...and the chunk of head shouldn't be too costly to bury...

I'm in!! Where do I sign?

George Carlin. Honestly, without him I wouldn't see how unbelievably stupid politics really are. R.I.P.

I read a lot of philosophy and history books, so I get most of my thoughts from those. I do also get my thoughts from personal experiences and observations because, really, how can that not influence how you think.

Personal experience. I honestly can't say more than that.

It is all well and good to moralise about things from tax to immigration to employment legislation to welfare, but until you experience it your opinions will actually be somebody else's in disguise.

Such wisdom in your words. I second this. I try not to have too many opinions over politics because of this reason.

My political views stem from several different places but mostly it comes from my own personal feelings on how the world should be. I guess I would be far left, I don't approve of the right's greed, their unwillingness to accept people for who they are, and their desire to control people. I don't hate them, I just don't see the need to respect them.

I honestly don't know but since both my parents are libertarians and I'm a democrat I'm pretty sure that its a personal ideal.
