Less than 2 months to go before Saints Row the Third is released, just wondering if anyone else is as psyched as me.

Also what characters you gonna make?

Nah.

It gives me the impression of trying waaay too hard to be "whacky".

Oh well, at least it knows not to take itself seriously. That's a plus.

Oh. Oh, God. Phew... I wasn't sure what SR3 meant. I was terrified they might have announced Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 3, which would require either a ridiculous retcon or some bullshit Deus ex machina.

OT: Nope, really don't care. Never played the other two and dislike the genre.

Hopefully the PC port won't be as dreadful as the SR2 one. Yeah, totally want to beat people to death with massive dildos.

Enjoyed the past games a lot, more then the latest Grand Theft Autos for sure.
So, I'm relatively excited, though I won't per-order it, I'm sure I'll get it eventually

Well you see, I would be excited for Saints Row 3 (I sank an ungodly amount of hours into Saints Row 2 after all), but currently I'm far too focused on Skyrim. Plus, I haven't seen much about Saints Row 3 and what I have seen hasn't been particularly memorable, so there isn't really much for me to be excited about yet.

Out of all the games this year, this is the one I'm looking forward to the most.

After I saw the game play trailers I immediately pre ordered it. These are the kind of wacky sandbox games I love to mess around in for hours.

It looks like a game that I could spend days messing around in. Any game like that is a must have in my book. It looks really good as a sandbox, and really varied. Which just makes it better.

I am afraid the... whakyness will ruin the experience somewhat.

I might get round to it eventually. I enjoy SR2, but it's not the sort of thing I feel compelled to play, just every so often. It definitely looks fun though.

I will probably pick it up sometime after release, but at the moment I have Rage, Batman:AC collectors edition, BF3, and Skyrim on pre-order. The game does looks really fun.

It might end up being the third game I actually get first day this year, it just looks that good. I mean, VTOL jets, virtual reality, fists that make people explode, cat car-mounted people-cannons, hover-bikes, fursuits, airstrikes, lucha libre wrestling, free-fall shootouts, dildo bats; what the hell doesn't this game have? This kind of over-the-top insanity doesn't come around all that often, and I want it bad. D:

All I can really say is, what you've seen, is only scratching the surface. ;)
I figured that. That's why I'm so excited for this; I've never seen so much crazy-awesome in one place, and there's always bound to be even more to a game than what the developers are willing to show. Can't wait to experience it all for myself. :)

Ordinarily I'd be just as excited as the rest of you. But frankly? I'm not. I've been playing so many "do whatever you want" sandbox-style games for near the past decade that I'm actually getting burned out on them. I can't tell you how many hours I've sunk into G-mod. (well more than my Steam account attests to)

As such, I'm actually looking more for a little linearity to my games lately. That's why Portal 2 is still my favorite game this year and why I'm anxious for the likes of Rage and Arkham City.

And yes, I'm aware those games are said to have a hefty dose of side-quests and such, but they're still fairly linearly in their execution.

Damnit, for a minute I thought that someone had confirmed a Soul Reaver 3 . . . despite that being impossible.
