I change it when I feel like it, but right now I'm using the same one (a screenshot of the smiling atomic mushroom cloud from the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Zero Punctuation) in two or three forums I frequent for the better part of a year. I'm not using it here because everyone has ZP avatars in here.

I change my avatar roughly every 6 months, unless The Holiday Council mods it for me.

I think it's time I did change though; Valentines was almost 2 months ago.

Avatars suck. Except thirteen's one with the blackbird and the question mark, that one was cool. But he changed that one so he sucks now.

I usually change mine depending on the time of year. For example last year at Christmas my avatar was Konata cosplaying as Santa. As you can see my current avatar has a touch of the March Madness. Or I change it whenever I find something funny or better.

Started of with epic fail de motivator, had that for ages, applied (badly) to the march mayhem avatar creation, changed my avatar between the time of getting one and applying, found out that I couldn't just ask for some random one then said please and got the avatar I have today.
