Poll: Poll Dancing?

Have you ever tacked a poll onto a topic and/or given it a slightly misleading title to get a few extra hits? I know I have.

How do you feel about this kind of malarky?...

I once mis-spelled my title deliberatly to lure people in, even admitted it in the first paragraph, got a few angry posters haha, was rather funny mind, most people on here saw the humor.

I don't mind it, it's funny

With the few thread that I have made, the names of them were pretty straight forward.
I don't like leading people on, unless it's in the name of comedy. Like I do with my Killing Floor buddies.

I once gave a thread a misleading title, but it was for comedic effect.
When I made the thread, we were receiving countless repeat threads aboot ESV, and the thread was aboot overdone threads, so I made the title "Elder Scrolls V; what do you want to see?" as a joke.

I sort of did with my paradox thread, it was something like "And then the universe exploded."

Not really misleading, but it drew people in.

Usually I do not use misleading titles, but all of my polls have the one jackass option at the end. And I always make them a "I like *flavor* milk*" option.

No, I do not consciously engage in that sort of tom-foolery. When I make a thread, I usually just make sure that my title says all everyone should know about the thread, since many people just read the title before posting. I only add a poll if I really want to know how many people think what. That is just how I operate. Straight-forward and to the point. I would not have it any other way.
