yes i did, all 150. the only difficult thing was the safari park, if i remember correctly. i had a longer attention span and less choice in games back in those days.

Never have. I've beaten Blue 3 times and Red twice and all five times I visited Missingno.

Hello? Bill? Fire my secretary!
*Hangs up phone*

Geez, to think I was what? 6 and didn't cheat my way to victory. Damn Susan!

lol, missingno was so fascinating that it seemed very magical to me at the time. I didn't use it to win, I just was fascinated by it.

Edit: Although I did use it to multiply my rare candies in order to get a lvl 100 weedle.

I did. Even got all the PokeDex.

Then the battery died and I lost all the game data, because I stopped playing it for 5 years. I started a new game though, and tried (and succesfully pulled out) the Mew glitch. Too complicated to explain, check it out in youtube.
the getting mew from naming your starter mew(should) be well known if I'm not mistaken what you're talking about.

I remember exploiting a glitch to capture a certain safari pokemon but only after hours of failing to capture it the hard way.

Nope, that doesn't even work *sighs* I will explain:

- Go to Celurean city with a Pokémon that knows Fly or an Abra.
- Fight one of the trainers inside Misty's gym.
- Go to the grass zone where you are supposed to find a guy ready to fight. Use flight or teleport right there.
- The guy will notice you but he won't be able to fight you since you teleport.
- You will appear in the Pokémon center, and the start button will be disabled.
- Walk up the bridge and the pause menu will pop up.
- Close it with B and then the battle begins. Mew will appear at level 1.

As far as I know, this works with EVERY SINGLE POKÉMON EDITION. I am spanish and it did worked with my spanish copy. I didn't use gameshark codes or other stuff. This is real, and it is plausible. It doesn't delete your game either. I haven't played it for like 6 months, and the saved game is still there, no corruption.

Yeah.

But catching them all is a pointless and useless effort, so I never did THAT.

The game is so easy without cheating. Anyone can get at least as far as beating Gary on their own can't they?

I got my 151 by cheating though. I obviously had to Game Shark in my Mew, and I used Missingno to get rare candies to evolve the last few I needed (couldn't be bothered to grind the elite four). I did legitimitely trade for things like Eevee evolutions, starters, uniques etc. It still took a lot of work.

The only thing I used glitches for: Getting EVERY SINGLE POKÉMON TO LVL 100. Copying Rare Candy using Missingno.

I'd go back and use them after I beat it without them, cause super awesome Pokemon were nice to have.
