with Assassin's Creed 1 & 2 now on the shelves, I've got a question that comes to mind:

Which of Desmond's ancestors do you like most?

Me? I like Ezio, he's got more personality than Altair in my opinion, he's got 2 hidden blades for double the assasination fun, and he's got alot more sweet skills in fighting, sneaking, and free-running than Altair does, in my opinion at least.

I did not play the first one fro very long and so did not get to know the charcacter very well however I hvae played assassins creed 2 all the way through so I like Ezio the best.

I always kinda thought altair was sort of a wet blanket. No real personally. Ezio manages to be somewhat lively, sympathetic, and likable. Ezio wins this one hands down.

Ezio actually tried to help a cause, where Altair wanted to get his stuff back so he can be a douchebag assassin that does whatever he wants. At least, at first.
I found Altair much, much cooler.

I'd have to go with Ezio; Altair seemed so wooden and dull, whereas Ezio actually had a personality - that, he had awesome weapons, and when he runs really fast he doesn't piss off the guards. So yeah, definitely Ezio.

Altair because he's an arrogant son of a *****. He knows he's the best and he's not afraid to show it.

I really like them both -- Altair gains more depth and personality as the game continues and ends up being a surprisingly likable-yet-still-jerkish badass (well, to me, anyways), while Ezio starts out charming and... uh, the PC port isn't out yet so I've only played for a couple of hours at other people's houses, but he's charming and funny and I adore his family.

I kind of feel like Ezio will ultimately be my favourite, if only because his accent matches the rest of the game. I feel shallow for saying that, but would it have killed them to get a voice actor who didn't stick out like a sore thumb?
