you forgot the "i have shot a gun, but don't own one" option.

well i have shot a .20 gauge shot gun, two different kinds of (i think) .22 rifles, and i black powder musket.

I have had opritunities to shoot an AK-47, another kind of assult rifle, hand guns, and stronger shot guns, but was unable to due to other plans.

And cause you asked, i'm under 18, and live in California, USA

Shot some shotguns(shell) and rifles(semi and bolt). Can't say I enjoyed the shotgun, it scared me. Recoil hurt like hell.

I love going to the shooting range, in USA
I own a 1941 Lee Enfield no. 1 Mk. III, 1944 Mosin Nagant M1891/30, A Ruger 10/22, and tomorrow I'm getting a CETME tomorrow, which is basically the pre H&K G3.

I've shot a huge variety guns that my friend has.

I just love guns because of the technological and historical aspects of them.

F the learning curve that's what i say. First gun i ever fired was a 30 alt 6 when i was seven leaving me with a black eye (it had a scope). Then later at 18 i shot a twelve gage without having the proper footing. I was not thrown on my ass, but i did end up bending my back backwards (damn close to 90 degrees). There was a target, then there was sky. there was no transition or blur... it just changed like a bad cut in a movie.

So when my dad gave me my moms 40 cal. hand gun... yes my mom has a 40 cal. My mom is laura croft GO MOM! anyways, (I was 28) i was prepared for the damn thing to fly back and break my noes. especially since i had NEVER shot a handgun before. Fortunately, that did not happen. But i did miss the target. Which was a water bottle, down and to the left. anyways will TOTALLY do it again.

I live in Australia and I have fired guns before but not for a long time. I grew up on a pretty large plot of land in the country and my father owned a few guns. He was also a member of the local gun club and very good at shooting.

It's interesting that here in Aus going and firing a gun is laughably easy (go to the gun club, pay $15, have 20 minute lesson) but if you want to buy and store guns it is stupidly difficult.
To get your licence you must:
Get a police clearance (14 business days and $50.00)
buy a registered safe (approx $650)
Have the safe installed by a regulated gun safe instalation company. This involves having the safe BOLTED TO THE FLOOR (another $200ish)
have a police officer come in and inspect it ($50).
Finally you have to get an official letter from a person who has a property over a certain size stating you will shoot there and only there.
THEN you can look at getting your licence and actually buying a gun.

I've shot numerous shotguns, a Russian made Mosin Nagant, a colt 1911, a .22 handgun whose name I forget, an M-16, and a .22 rifle that was unmarked at a gun club.

Then you're doing it wrong. You have to shove that ***** into your shoulder and command the firearm. If you're scared of it, it will bite like an angry whore. If you respect it, and take full control of it, it'll give you the time of your life. Also, if you own the firearm, you can install a rubber butt pad to cushion the blow. If you're still having trouble, then you might consider switching to airsoft.

Note: The tone this post is meant to be read in is redneck father talking to redneck son. Or hunting buddy. In other words, I mean no insult to you personally.

No, but I wouldn't mind to.

Well, I shot some of the pretty powerful air-powered guns. But obviously the force of the shot isn't even comparable to the real thing, although I could penetrate a 2 inch oak piece pretty deep from about 5 yards.

Which obviously isn't much.

Oh ya and paintball, but that doesn't really count.

I live in Canada, our gun laws are pretty tough. I wouldn't mind taking up shooting for entertainment, otherwise.

If I ever end up moving to US, you bet I'm going to get a gun.

EDIT: Oh, and I'm in Australia - the US's slightly older and much cooler brother. You know, the one that everyone prefers to hang out with and go to the pub with.
Wat?
1776 (July 4 Deceleration of Independence is signed) is younger than 1788(British colonization)? are we going backwards? i am so confused right now. I can not tell if your serious or not.

OT: i have and i own two but rarely get out to shoot them.
