Have you ever made a fictional character that for no reason you find awesome? I know the escapist is full of creative people, surely there has to be some cool ones. If you haven't make up one! It's fun! Just give a description of them and their events.

I made some guy named Dr. Harpoon. He's some guy in a parka and a scarf on the inside covering his mouth. His eyes are always in different positions, and he has very thick, always angry eyebrows. His catch phrases are "GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!" and "Looks like you just got... 'POONED.". He was born in Virginia, and 4.7 seconds after he was born he was attacked by Nazis. He killed them all with a harpoon, but his mother was eaten by a pterodactyl. He walked to antarctica, and lives in a cave. One day, aliens attacked and he killed them all with a harpoon. Then he got sucked into Narnia, and was confronted by Aslan, who was giving a huge speech, but then they were attacked by Bin Laden on a bike. Dr Harpoon killed him and there was an explosion that sent him back to Antarctica.

Also, I'd prefer if nobody steals anyone elses ideas, as they should be bitten by a Marmoset.

I also made Fred, the Anthropormic brain. He just kinda sits there with a face...

I write a lot, but there's a couple characters who are my favvs. Basket, a little girl who washed up on an island where everything is gray and depressing and teaches the ppl there that they have alot to be happy about in their patch of gray-ness. Cloud guy, a guy that lives on top of a cloud and went down to earth to find cotton to fill his cloud with because his cloud was dissipating and if he didn't he would lose his house. and my numbah 1, Alex, born during the times where defying the catholic church was punishable by death, he finds a nun with psychic powers that sends him into some alternate plane where he meets several other ppl that are just the different chunks on himself and he finds the god machine that tells him the truth of existence, he goes out tells everyone and is charged for heresy immediately and then sentenced to death. Small parts of them sure but I love them all, and no way I'm giving away all my character trait secrets! lol

I made a bunch, but I wouldn't consider them cool or anything. Just my characters.

I don't really go in for 'cool' characters (totally aware of how quoting cool like that makes me 107 or something), but I think that Syllaf, the Fae Huntress from my ongoing novel (an excuse to post about it in 2 threads in one day? Yes please!) is probably the coolest character I've done. She's not the protagonist, but she's a major character. The jist of her backstory is that she's the most prolific huntress the Fae have ever known. An absolute master at her art, there's nobody that can escape from her when she starts tracking. This means that to an entire race of Half-Fae, whom the Fae habitually enslave, she's nothing short of the greatest criminal they know of, being responsible for the kidnap and enslavement of hundreds (and given the entire race struggles to push 1,000, that's saying something). To them, she is the monster you scare children with.

But she's really rather sorry.

She spends most of her existence trying to do something to make it right, trying to make up for the Half-Fae she delivered to their doom - whilst combating her bloodthirsty nature. She's violent, even for a Fae, but she doesn't want to be. She's protective, domineering, and struggles with her worse nature - and she's a little obsessive, too. When she meets the protagonist, a Half-Fae she's sworn to protect, rather than kidnap, she embraces the idea like a kind of embodiment of putting right every crime she's ever committed. If she can keep this one girl safe, she rationalises, then it's a solid start on making up for every life she's ever destroyed. Unfortunately this single-minded belief, whilst it makes her earnest, means that she gets a little dictatorial, being unwilling to consider any threat to the protagonists safety, for fear of failing in her duty.

I created a superhero called Man-sapian. He's part human, part primate. He's got a tail, super strength, monkey agility, and he craves bananas but doesn't want to admit it. And when he gets really mad, he shits in his hand and throws it at bad guys.

I created a villain who I call Public Disturbance Man. He has no powers, he just goes around causing public disturbances. Awesome character isn't he?

Well there's Random Man that me and a friend made up a while back. He acts totally random and constantly jumps genres. And he has a plastic spoon taped to his head. He fights Sir Obvious, his nemisis obviously.

Then there is Rome (or Roam) the squirrel who runs along powerlines. He was made more due to boredom of riding the bus (before I had a music player).

And I've created the idea of a Pantheon of Beings that represent different parts of the human existance. Like Hunger, Luck, Irony (which somewhat explains my username), and Sorrow. I wrote a poem about Hunger kinda. He's this fat - thing that constantly hungers, thrists, desires, lusts after all sorts of things. I created him after realizing that greed is just a part of a baser human instinct, Hunger. I might post the poem sometime if I can find it.

I've made plenty. Not sure if they're cool, but I like them. Definitely nothing in the shade of awesome you're looking for.

I once made a comic with a friend (he can draw, I can't. I did most of the story and stuff) about a male pornstar who became a superhero.

His real name is Dave McLane, but when he became a superhero he continued to use his pornstar name of Quigley Von Sexington. He gained his powers when he drank whiskey (he has a hipflask, one of his signature things) that was radioactive. He gained super speed, super strength, X-ray vision, a weak form of mind control and is even more attractive to women. He's sexist, sarcastic, arrogant, intelligent and quite sadistic. He fights to protect the ladies of Neville City (we thought Neville was an amusing name) from Dr Nobbery, who constantly attempts to end mankind by making everyone homosexual.

Unlike what you'd expect, there was very little nudity, it wasn't that crude and it was completely un-homophobic.

It wasn't a great comic to say the least.

Ralph, your every day guy with a love for helping people and drinking pear juice. His awesomeness? His snarky way of helping and the pear juice. ''Ya can't solve a case without pear juice''.

I actually designed him for some short stories I was writing.
