Had a very busy day today, so today's poll is both late as fuck and is another lazy one to boot. I apologize for that.

So, what internet browser do you use and why do you use it? Please remember to actually explain your opinion if you do post, as usual. Btw, thanks to everyone who's joined me for this little series of polls throughout this past week. Anyways, have fun and GO!

Captcha: "I WANT CONTROL" Suddenly, Chrome isn't seeming so attractive now. XD

EDIT: In hindsight, I should've added an option for if you use multiple browsers. My bad.

I've used Chrome for years, because it's been convenient and has always started up the fastest out of all the browsers I've tried. The interface is simple enough to navigate and it doesn't have the hideous security breaches that IE has.

To rank them:

1. Chrome
2. Firefox
3. Who cares

Now, to be fair, Safari used to be a really good browser, but that was a couple versions ago. Now I sort of view it as the same thing as Internet Explorer: It's only purpose is to download Chrome, which is then used to download Firefox as a backup browser.

With that said, the main reason I go with Chrome is because it has had far fewer stability issues lately and, as a result, I got very used to it. It's got the best design I've seen from current browsers and also seems to run the fastest, but I honestly don't find too much of a meaningful difference in speed between it and Firefox. Chrome also handles Google search integration better than Firefox does. There are a few other reasons, but they are very minor.

I will say a couple advantages Firefox does have is that it does copy/paste better when using right-clicking over hotkeys. Also, for some bizarre reason, there are still sights that don't support Chrome, and one of them happens to be my university's housing page. In those situations, Firefox is really a good alternative.

I honestly know nothing much about Internet browsers beyond Internet explorer being considered the worst. My cousin installed Firefox way back when fixing our old computer, and that's what I've stuck with since.

I use Chrome, and have for quite awhile. I used to use Firefox, but I was impressed by Chrome's speed and lack of bullshit (the taskbar is so much cleaner and simpler) and I haven't looked back.

Used to be Opera, but the issues on a small handful of websites meant that when I upgraded my PC to not a complete shitbox I moved to Chrome. Firefox has always had problems for me.

i prefer using Safari, it's fast, user friendly, and has lots of great features. also the swipe commands that OSX Lion uses is awesome and great for moving from one window to another, and great for multitasking. when reading manga online, i prefer using Chrome since Safari can't go full screen, and since the Ad stopper on it is very useful. i only use Ad stopper on chrome and i only use chrome for manga. everything else i use Safari.

Comodo Dragon.

All the benefits of Chrome (back before Google screwed it up) combined with a rather snazzy security suite.

I'm a mozilla user in and out. I love the speed, easy to use bookmark system, and the layout. Too bad they decided to try and become Chrome 2.0 with the new layout.

I find it really funny though that no one has voted for explorer yet, but then again. I really shouldn't be too surprised.

I use Chrome.

I am told by the more computer-literate of my friends that there are significant things about it behind the scenes (security etc.) that make it a better browser, but I really use it because I prefer the way it had the automatic googling by typing into the address bar and just the general look and feel of it over the other major browsers.

I'm afraid there really isn't that much more to it than that. Browsers seem pretty similar to me, but chrome is the preference.

My main qualm is if I get forced to use one different from Chrome - like at a previous work, they didn't allow you to install any other browser than IE.

I use Chrome...
As many people have said because it's sleek, fast and very simple to use...

I tried Firefox a few years back, but the interface bar was so bulky it covered up the top third of the screen (Back when my resolution was 1366*768)

So, yeah, Chrome it is!
Although since I installed Windows 8.1 it's been trying desperately to get me to use IE 11...

Tough luck Microsoft... Next thing you know you'll force me to use Bing search too!
HA

I'll stick with Google... Since I can sign-in to the browser, change computers, and it still remembers all my stuff... (as evidence by the recent Windows 8.1 install)

I've used Firefox for years now. I just prefer the interface to Chrome and runs fast enough for me. Never really noticed a difference when using Chrome.

I'm a Chrome man myself. To think, I used to stick to IE exclusively because it was familiar. I'm pretty sure that's Stockholm Syndrome. So yeah, I made the change a couple of years ago and haven't looked back.

Currently Firefox, but thinking of moving to something else, it likes freezing my computer.

At least there are add ons that restore current firefox to looking like firefox again. The 'we want to be chrome' layout didn't last 10 minutes before I'd found an add on to fix it (the bookmark button isn't 1001%, but it's close enough for me).

I use a small variety of browsers.

Desktop at home: Firefox
Phone: Opera
iPad: Safari
Work Laptop: Chrome and Internet Explorer (yes it sucks, but a few programs that i must use are sadly only compatible with IE)

I prefer Firefox for all the plugins.
Doesn't matter how much the developers try to fuck up the browser, there will always be plugins to restore the features and functionality that the devs broke/removed in an effort to streamline everything.

I'm one of those pretentious Opera users. I've never regretted using it and only switch away if I need to use an app that isn't compatible.
