Oh hell yes.

I've always had it worked out in my mind just how great a pokemon game would be on a console.

First thing is it would not be turn based combat it would be more like in the show.
Each of the four face buttons would correspond to one of your attacks.
Also you just knock opponents out to catch them rather than just weakening them.

keep it on the Nintendo stuff for me please
Would you rather see it on the Wii?
Realistically, that is one of the two possible choices. And, of the two choices, the Wii has the inarguably superior hardware. At the end of it all, that's what this boils down to anyway. People love pokemon - but would they love a better looking, perhaps deeper pokemon that they couldn't carry around with them? The console iterations of the games have done well enough I suppose, but when you compare that to the phenominal success of each of the (dozen or so?) handheld games one is forced to wonder - is pokemon successful in part due to it's handheld heritage. I'm willing to wager that the answer is yes - the cartoon and card game alone can only explain a fraction of the rabid fanbase - the fact that one can carry the simulation with them wherever they go probably goes a long way to explain the rest.
i cannot agree more and i bring an example to the table:
Fire Emblem
absolutely fantastic portable game, was released on gc and wii and i couldnt play it.
much like pokemon, its a game i play on the bus, or waiting in a queue. i rarely play pokemon in my house. that is the reason why i dont think a "normal" pokemon game would work on any console.
now as an mmo, thats another story. pokemon mmo would be the sort of thing i would go for.

Hell no. If pokemon ran to the evil side, nintendo would almost certainly go bust!
Sony isnt going bust over Final Fantasy XIII coming to the 360.

Pokemon didn't feel right on the DS...The SP was about as far as they should have gone with the pokemon games. So to have it on 360 would just cause me to shun humanity as a whole...again.

This just crossed my mind a few days ago. Pokemon games thrive on the handheld devices and have only been on the Gamecube and Wii. I dont know if this website has alot of members with Xbox 360 but I just felt like asking the question.

(This is my first thread so I am very sorry about any mistakes)
Hahahahahahahahahaha!
Man did I need that. Please tell me you aren't serious.

Yes. But I'd set my status to offline before playing it.
This.
If they worked on it we could get something really good. The same basic game as any of the handhelds, but in 3D.
It could be as good compared to previous Pokemon games as Oacarina of Time was compared to previous Zelda games.

So these type of threads humor me a bit. Especially since I was having a bad day.
BTW. I'm a serious Nintendo fanboy if you misunderstood the quote.

well i'm good for any pokemon game on any console (yes, even the N-Gage.) if they have:
1.Ability to travel to ALL regions in the pokemon series. (Kanto, Jhoto, and so on.)
2.a FULL game (not any of that colliseum(sp?) crap)
3.TEAM ROCKET. i'm tired of having that themed baddies. i want TR.
4. Following pokemon (Yeller, anyone?) you wouldn't even know how much i would pay just to have my Wailord or my Scizor follow me.
This pretty much sums up everything I would have said and added something I haven't thought of. I don't care much for Team Rocket specifically, but I want my little Piplup to follow me around. (How is Wailord supposed to follow you on land?)
He follows me on land by floating.
he is awesome like that.

I've always like the idea of a full 3D Pokemon game as big (actually bigger) than the hand held games. However, in reality, Pokemon only works because of the hand held consoles. Pokemon is just that kind of game.

Instead of harping about how cool Pokemon would be with a company it doesn't belong to, why not think outside of that universe?

Monster Rancher. That game was bloody brilliant and holds so much promise. I forgot if that game was owned by Sony or not, but it would be great to see another rendition of it out with more monsters, a bigger world to explore, etc.

On the by, a realistic Pokemon? Really? I highly doubt a company would support something so cartoony looking more and more like hardcore dog fighting. Oh yes, not only blood, battle scars. And terrible injuries! Let's inject our Pokemon with adrenalin-pumping drugs and staple their wounds shut instead of going to the pokemon center! This battle would be so much better in someone's basement with gambling and drugs. (This is sarcasm.)

No, there is absolutely no reason for a Pokemon game to be on the 360 or the PS3. As a matter of fact I wouldn't want more kids buying the 360 just because it features Pokemon...

The game wouldn't sell very well due to the average 360 user being a gun-crazy bad-mouthed 8-year-old kid.
PS3/PC fanboy much? Prick.

It really depends on how much effort went into the game. If they did an XBLA remake of the original game, or if it was a retail release that was full 3D and had some sweet move effects, I could get behind that.

My question is why can't it? Just because it's a "the 360" doesn't mean it can't have younger games, or RPGs.

The real question is whether or not I could deal with another Pokemon game. I never played any that were released after yellow, and I'm one of those people who adamandly refuse to recognise any pokemon after 151.

Meh. I don't see myself playing Pokemon these days, so I definitely wouldn't bother with a 360 version.

Now, back in the old days, I loved Pokemon, and if they made it like them, I'd support it on any console as long as it kept the heart of the game.
