Err, how so?

OT: Looking forward to it, ought to have some fun with co-op. And by "have some fun with co-op," I mean, "Annoy my friends from how much I want to play."

I'm really excited about it. The first game was so amazing, I am not sure that the second one will be as good. However Valve is a developer (like Blizzard) that I give free reign to impress the hell out of me.

I'm going to pass on portal 2.

I didn't enjoy portal 1 as much as the people who claim it is god's gift to man. I thought it was decent. It had a new, fresh idea, but by the end of the incredibly short campaign I was completely sick of portals.

Please, portal fans, spare me from your rage.

Umm... I'm going to buy it the second it becomes available?

Not really sure what else I can say.

I guess I'm a little anxious that it won't live up to the undiluted awesomeness that was the original Portal. But so long as it's decent, I won't hold that against the game.

Valve did not do so, Microsoft doesnt allow any add-ons to be placed on xbox live without an appropriate price tag, they take money from every sale on xbox live. Microsoft excuse is that it would be taking their bandwidth to provide them without they turning a profit. Next time you want to buy any game from valve (which usually include free addons) buy it for either the ps3 or from steam as microsoft will always screw you over in that regard.

Portal is one of my all-time favorite games, but after looking at all the videos about it, I think Portal 2 will be my all-time favorite game of all time.

i'm honestly really excited for the co-op. I'm sure the singleplayer will be mind bendingly great, but playing with a companion could prove a whole new brand of challenge ... not to mention that co-op trailer that ended with GLaDOS saying, "...or I'll make you wish you could die." gave me chills.

Paint me excited.

That's actually Microsofts fault, they wanted to update the Xbox as much as the PC versions and such, and make DLC free. But you know Microsoft and their rules.

I am very excited for this game. Heck, more excited than I am for Fallout: New Vegas, and that really says something (OMG COMPANION WHEEL FTW!!1!). Hopefully it will be like the original Portal just with more stuff and a longer story.

Also, a message to Valve: I demand another credits song just as awesome and memorable as Still Alive!

I am way beyond hyped... My only complaint with Portal (though I don't think of it as a fault) was the difficulty, or lack thereof. So Portal 2 is shaping up to be a lot harder. Plus the co-op mode looks amazing. It still sounds hilarious, with the same kind of dark humour.
I mean, come on.

You found Portal difficult?

*silently judges*
I'm not quite sure whether it's because I am mentally deficient somehow, or whether my tolerance for logic puzzles in games is so low my brain just refused to work out some of the later rooms.

Either way, it's not a very good sign, is it?
I don't know, I was actually frustrated that the levels were too easy.
It never got complicated and you never had to think out a plan before you did anything.
If you've played Portal: Prelude you can see how it can get hard. But really, even then they laid it out for you with markings on the floor.

Or maybe I'm just extremely intelligent... I do have a knack for logic puzzles.

That's Microsoft's fault, not Valve's. Although Valve admitted responsibility for releasing games anyway knowning Microsoft's rules, but they had the rather reasonable assumption that MS would change them at some point. Right now the best thing they can do is release games for 360 owners, and keep hoping things get better, because otherwise their only option is to not release games at all, and that would really screw them over.

From what I've seen, it looks completely and utterly amazing. I'd love to play it.

WHERE IS MY POLL?

[sub]It'll be awesome...[/sub]
The poll is a lie. /shot

Anyway... I can't see how it'll be bad- Wheatley's still British, GLaDOS' voice is... ... it fits a certain trope to say the least, Chell is still here, no Companion Cube, no cake, the potential for more Coulton songs, a full second story that is co-op with ROBOTS, the Enrichment Center being overgrown (I have a thing for very clinical/sterile settings, as well as rundown and overgrown ones. This isn't getting chocolate in peanut butter, this is Branston Pickle on No More Heroes), the potential for more personality cores, more Rat Man writings, new ways to kick physics in the quad, and have I mentioned it being a FULL LENGTH game? As in, ten hours is guessing on the low end? TEN. HOURS. OF PORTAL GOODNESS. TWENTY IF YOU ADD IN CO-OP, HELL YES THIS WILL BE WORTH THE $50 IT'LL COST.

Not to mention it's coming out very close to my birthday, so that's just the icing on the cake propulsion gel on the floor.

Portal was OK, but I did get bored of it really quick. Good concept, but I think it was drawn out a bit too far. I mean I do like puzzle games but not to the extent that Portal wow'ed me. Therefore, not really looking forward to Portal 2. Half-Life EP3 or some form of a full on sequel, yes.
