Poll: Portal jokes, will people accept that the cake is a lie one day?

The jokes were great. Unfortunately, they were better than the actual gameplay. It was a good idea, but got a bit same-y after a while. I respect the physics engine though.
Yeah, I guess you could say this is a hallucination and then when you hallucinate you're actually awake. But, you could also say your town is run by a dog in a control room.

Whenever someone makes an even vaguely funny joke, reference, or just plain awesome line in any form of media, the retards lurking in the online world will rabidly jump on the bandwagon to get to the dead horse and beat it long after the horse has since decomposed into a skeleton.
Translation: No, because if the Chuck Noris jokes haven't already proved it to you, people on the Internet REFUSE to let a joke or reference die until it has been beaten, raped, and used way out of context for at least a decade.
So, expect at least eight more years of way overused Portal jokes.

Chuck Norris went out of style though after a couple years. I think since Portal is actually a good thing it might be around for longer.

Personally, I think its a good thing that such a master piece of a game is given so much appriation. Killing the joke is the comprise.

Separately, the Portal script is priceless, and overdoing quotes on a novel game is harmless. We should all be thankful that Halo and Gears are unquotable- Escapist would need a separate internet to handle the repeat threads if they were.
