Poll: Pour or drink remaining milk in cereal?

I come from Wisconsin, the big dairy state, not to mention I come from a long line of milk haulers. When I found out my (now ex) girlfriend would waste the remaining milk down the drain when she was done, I considered it a sin. What do you do with the remaining milk, what are your thoughts?

Milk's a difficult beast.

When it's good, it's real good. But when it's bad, it's horrid.

And any fat lumps means it's going in the sink imho.

I love milk.

Hell, if I stopped drinking it, I'd probably see some withdrawal symptoms.

I should note that I'm 0.1% fat content all the way.

I drink it, makes the milk taste so much better depending on what the cereal is in the bowl.

Dude, drink it. Why wouldn't you? If it isn't chocolatey from my cereal, I might even take a sip and give the rest to my dog. She loves milk.

But pouring it down the drain? That's a waste.

I haven't eaten cereal in years and the last few times I did it was straight from the box without milk but when I did eat bowls of cereal and milk, I would always drink the milk from the bowl. I used to like eating Cocoa Pebbles and ending up with a bowl half filled with chocolate milk.

Being raised in an upper-lower-middle class family I was taught from a young age to not waste food or drink.

Serious suggestions aside, of course I drink milk, are there reasons I shouldn't?

Drink it? Especially if the cereal was chocolaty. Mmmm, chocolate.

I drink it. I have friends that just pour it out and it bothers me because milk is pretty expensive and too good to waste. Well, expensive to a cheap person such as myself.

I pour.....more cereal into the bowl
Then I drink what's left.

1 bowl milk
1.5 bowls cereal

about 0.2 bowls of milk left to drink at the end...eyup...I am serious.

It depends. Some cereals I drink it.

But for a lot of them I just pour it down the sink. Too sweet with all that sugar that dissolved off into it. I also will have 2 bowls of cereal though a lot of times with the same batch of milk, so it's twice as sweet, that's why I pour the little that remains out.

OT: I know you will all hate me for this but I pour it. I like milk untainted by extra sugar... The milk for me is just the vehicle for the cereal. When I finish the cereal, the excess milk just kind of grosses me out...

Milk out of the carton or the jug straight into a glass is amazing on the other hand. I can go through 4 litres of milk a week, sometimes faster!
