It should go without saying that any book is good if written well, however I still tend to lean towards longer novels. I like the depth of lore and development that extra length SHOULD provide.

Most of the time I read them they are in the 400-500 range in terms of pages unless it's a omnibus and those run into the 700's usally.

I think the longest book I've read is either "A Thousand Sons" or "The First Heretic" from the Horus Heresy seris of books.
Have you ready the Ciaphas Cain series? Those omnibuses usually clock in at around 800-900 pages.
Yep! Read both of them and honestly? I think the Ravenor omnibus is the longest one they have, clocking around +850 pages in it. It was a long ass read but it was good. :D

The two mini-stories in that series helped bump up the pages too I think.
If someone wanted to be picky that is technically 3 books in one volume but yes I own Ravenor Omnibus alongside the Eisenhorn Omnibus, 4 Gaunt's Ghosts Omnibus' and the Imperial Guard Omnibus and they are long as hell but I enjoy them all immensely.

Length doesn't matter to me if it is a good book.

That said, if it IS a good book then I would prefer it to be a long good book so I can enjoy it for longer :p

So for the purpose of the poll I voted for long books based purely on long good book > short good book which I will finish quickly...
