I am so tempted to list the names of ALL royalty in the Fire Emblem series as possible suggestions for this kids name. I would actually give a shit about royal family news if i can here them talking about Prince Marth or Princess Eirika. It would be hilarious to me.

Despite having a UK background and having citizenship, I really don't care. I live in Canada too, the country that might as well still be a British colony.

Congratulations to them but all i see when i look at the royal family are a family which get the biggest benefits payment out of all the people in the UK on benefits for doing what? Shaking hands with our terrible government and foreign officials, wow yes you really deserve several big mansions and palaces... not.

I honestly don't see why everyone's making a big deal out of it.

Im still shocked you people have a royal family .

EDIT: o yeah the name ???.. how about pustulio?

Heres an idea if you dont give a fuck, dont comment on a thread you dont give a fuck about. Otherwise someone like me might point out NO ONE IMPORANT GIVES A FUCK ABOUT YOU. Now if your reading this and your about to post your "I dont give a fuck" post, dont. This thread is about baby names if you dont give a fuck, go away go on another forum page find something you do give a fuck about, just dont waste your time here saying how you dont give a fuck about the royal baby because the baby doesnt give a shit about you.

Arthur for a boy, leoine for a girl.
Ahhhhh no . the fact that I don't care about something doesn?t make my opinion invalid . so no I don?t think I?ll shut up .

PS: I still think pustulio is a good name ???.

PPS: it?s still mind boggling to me that you people actually give a shit about this little monkey
Ok looking back I am sorry about the first reply I was angry but also begin nasty so yes I am sorry about that, But I am a supporter of the royal family it might be mind boggling to you but there are many things that are mind boggling. I dont care that you dont like the royal family thats your right, and yes the fact that you dont care about something doesnt make your opinion invalid, but is begin rude about a unborn baby, or people who do like the royal family on a thread that wanted to be about royal baby names really necessary

Now that I got that out of my system Captain, I have a question to ask you. Are these names ones the parents are considering or ones you just made up because they sound regal and possibly have historical precedent?

If it's the latter, then shame on you! You need to put more pizazz in these names! Give the kid a name his enemies will fear, Not that he'll/she'll/it'll have enemies being a pointless figurehead Sorry! Sorry, I thought I got it all out. I'm good now.

My recommendations are

1. Metallica-and-Elvis I

2. Tea drinker Mc-We-conquered-the-world-once-basically XIV

3. Ulfric-Stormcloak II

4. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF VII

5. Kieran II

6. Garrus II

7. Ashley Boomstick I

8. Gaius Octavius Thurinus II

Do you think anyone inside the UK gives a shit, other than a few royal arselickers?

Because I sure as hell don't, and I'm British.

To be honest I think more people outside the UK are more excited considering most tourist's can't get enough of our outdated monarchy.
Considering 2 billion people tuned in to watch the royal wedding, I think its safe to say that some people have taken an interest.

Also, the baby should be called Ghengis. Whether it turns out male or female.

Those are fun... but I hope you aren't serious :D

It might be baffling to you but some of us genuinely love and honour the institution of our monarchy.

That being said "Tea drinker Mc-We-conquered-the-world-once-basically XIV" is actually pretty sweet except that ordinal numbers don't work like that (which is of course why he has listed the names he has... those are the royal names of England, excepting Henry and James).

Congrates to them but I really couldn't care less. I'm so sick of hearing about what dress Kate wore today. It was nice to hear though that they don't want any help like a nanny and want to raise it like normal parents. It's a good bet that if it's a girl they'll call it Dianna, and it'll be something typical like the names you suggested if it's a boy.

This guy should set you straight on why the monarchy is a good thing (financially, anyway)

I'm just kidding, it really isn't all that odd that people have respect for the monarchy... Americans just don't generally like the whole "ruler" thing. We're kind of like the ancient Romans that way :)

As long as it's not "technically" a king we're fine... We're odd like that

And as for XIV, That's obviously pronounced ziv. Clearly this baby isn't related to Tea drinker Mc-We-conquered-the-world-once-basically's 1-13

They're Turians, and use the Turian primarch naming system! XD

[sub][sub][sub] They should still totally call him Garrus though :/[/sub][/sub][/sub]

I can't say I care what the baby is called, only that I support the royal family and I'm much more happy about giving them money then some of the people on Jeremy Kyle :)

And like someone said it would be quite interesting if the kid ended up gay, and I think the lack of shits people in England would give would surprise quite a few people.
It would surprise people in America, for sure. We've been far more tolerant over here for decades about this sort of thing. Just look at the carry on films, you have some of the most flamboyantly camp actors we've ever produced as the big stars and they are considered a quintessential part of our culture.

Most people here have a live and let live attitude, we don't give a crap about what you believe, who you're attracted to, what we do have is a bullshit class system from the Victorian era still floating about. But it could be worse, like being taught creationism alongside evolution in schools, being told you can't marry the person you love because it's not 'natural' and being universally regarded as a warmongering, imperialistic nation.

Captcha : Star Spangled - sentient captcha scares me...

Historical precedent, for the last 300 years (twelve monarchs in total) only six regal names have been used: George, William, Edward, Elizabeth, Victoria, Anne... so it's a fair bet it'll be one of those. That said, here's my vote out of your suggestions!

Tea drinker Mc-We-conquered-the-world-once-basically XIV

Wow, thanks for wasting bandwidth then! Seriously, if you don't care, why even bother posting and just keep watching Jersey Shore.

I vote Victoria II

My feelings towards the Royals are conflicted. I like that they're still around, a relic of a bygone age if you will, but I have to wonder why I should care about them specifically. There's a video narrated by Richard Feynman that I find is relevant and quite interesting:

As for what I think the kid should be called? How about 'Ovhearts'? Ba dum tish.

1) Long live the ki...urrent monarch, I say. I think there's a lot to be said for a governmental figure with some power that isn't constantly terrified of the next election. Not a lot of power, mind, but the ability to tell the house of commons when thy've got some bullshit and they'd better go review it again is a refreshing one.

That's largely the same reason why I like the idea of the house of lords. Here in Canada we go on a lot about reforming the Senate because it's largely pointless in its' current form. Some want to abolish it, but what I would want to do is take some Canadians who happen to be experts in certain fields, like sociology, economics, medicine, nutrition, education, law, etc. and have them review anything that goes through the house of commons. Give them the ability to send it back to the house if they don't like it, along with some recommendations on how to fix it, but if the house passes it again then then it's passed. That way nobody can ***** about subverting democracy but we still end up with people on the higher end of the government who know what the hell they're talking about.

Er, what were we talking about again?

Oh right, the pregnant duchess.

As I said, I support the monarchy but I oppose tabloid "journalism" in every way. I don't know how anyone in that field could possibly feel like they do a decent thing for a living.

I couldn't even begin to care. I think other countries actually care more about the royal family than us Brits do.

A lot of people seem to like that one, and by a lot I mean the two that quoted me including you XD

I prefer Kieran II myself. The little squirt will probably never be as awesome as Kieran the first, but what can you do XD

You cared enough to both click on this thread and write a post. ;)

OT: I think we need another Queen Vic (the last one was pretty awesome) so Victoria gets my vote.
